What's on your Wednesday Menu?
Mornin' All!
I thought my weight would be up yet again this morning, but it's not. Whew. The holiday season is always like navigating landmines. If I can at least maintain, I'll feel like I'm doing well.
I have one of my film discussion groups later on this morning. The film selector (who also gets to pick the location) decided she wanted to have it at her house. Which is fine - it's her prerogative - but that means she'll likely have treats - and others will likely bring them along, too (not a requirement, but....I'm pretty sure they will). Another landmine. UGH. Hopefully she'll have something at least semi-safe like fruit. It's better for me when people pick coffee places - then I can just get coffee. But - I'll deal with it.
I have to take my mother to a dentist appt this afternoon, and I have to exercise at some point. I went to a senior strength training class yesterday and will probably continue to go, at least on some days. I used heavier weights and a stronger resistance band than the other women in the class because I'm used to resistance training, so I think the class was probably beneficial - and definitely easier on my bum hip. The instructor for that class is also a personal trainer, and she agreed with me that a couple of the exercises the other trainer has me doing are probably not the greatest idea for my hip. So I'm going to quit doing them and find other things that'll work those muscles without destroying my joint!

Good morning JB and Menuers,
My hope is your new job is way better than what is going on where you are currently. That is so scary that so many of the staff are feeling the same way. It has to be toxic for the whole school district. It has been crazy the number of threats and violence going on in our schools. Please God save our children.
OK today should be my last quarantine day. I'm not allowed back in my office till Friday but I can get out tomorrow according to the quarantine protocol. Yesterday My DH almost had me convinced to eat pizza. Then I reeled in the WLS person I am and said NO that is crazy I can't even taste why would I eat calories I can't even taste. So that was a win.

I am a long hauler too(just at a year and still being treated for symptoms). The second dose of Pfizer gave me back sense of smell and tasted within a day. Studies have shown it helps about half of long haulers with symptoms
