I am just glad I google using my phone and not my work computer. I guess your post is my quarantine chuckle of the day. Thank you.

Good morning from San Diego! That's right. I studied hard and passed the Covid test with flying colors and got on the plane and came home. We had a gorgeous time. Pics on Friday. The scale says I was not too out of control, but it usually takes my body a few days before it punishes me at the scale. So we'll see what official weigh in day Friday tells me. Had such a great time, but happy to be sitting at my desk this morning.

QoTD: I have done no shopping. No browsing. No window peaking. Nothing. Grandkids are going to get oranges and old candy bars from Halloween at this rate. Need to up my game plan.

Menu:

B: 1/3 c cottage cheese and 1/3 c hatch green chili (or whatever this group calls!!)

L: left over pork chop and haloumi cheese

D: steak for the hubs, chicken thigh for me, a bit of scalloped potatoes and sweet kale salad

Peace Everyone!

"... the chief of my department is now actively not speaking to me, which feels...not great. ..."

That's very childish. How old is she/he? I'm glad you would be out of that place. Good luck in a new place.

We lose good people all the times, it's a part of work reality. Good employees - as much as I hate that, they need to do what is best for them. And I always let them know that if they change their mind, we will take them back. Seriously. And we did in the past, and we still do. I was told to never burn bridges. There are some people I was happy to see leave, and I would not take them back.

Good Morning,

QJB-great news on quitting! Ignore your boss for the duration or as other have suggested take your sick or vacation days.

Thanksgiving was good. Overall, I did a good job in not over indulging. I did pass up on the pie after dinner, but did have an extra serving of bread dressing (my favorite). I hope everyone else had a wonderful holiday.

OK I admit it when I brought my cat here, I let him out of the carrier for a few minutes and had him on my lap. Then I had his carrier on the seat next to me, the whole row was vacant except me. But I was told he had to stay under the seat, so I did comply. No breast feeding here though.

QOTD- I haven't been looking, my Mom and I agreed we don't need to buy anything for Christmas. If either of us want something we usually buy it.

I was doing good yesterday until I found out my electric bill was $230 for last month. So I'm not going to be using the A/C anymore. I've been trying to get acclimated to the heat, and did buy box fans so hopefully next month will be better.

Yesterday afternoon was wonderful, it had been raining and was cloudy so I opened the windows. Sat in my recliner and read my book, so the curtain was billowing in the breeze and the temperature was just perfect. I also remembered why I'm here.

Another loss by the Seahawks, I wish I'd just kept reading and didn't waste my time watching it. Oh well...

I need to get back to work.

Have a great day everyone!

That sounds like a perfect day! Hopefully that crazy electric bill had some of the "just getting set up" charges because OUCH.
