I freeze the egg bites, they are a little watery when microwaved after but not horrible.

I freeze them too. I tried to microwave them directly from freezer, but as Jen said they get sorta watery. But if I thaw them by putting them in the fridge the night before then they turn out fine.

Your thanksgiving breakfast cracked me up.

I thought of you seeing this story in grown and flown. A military mom rented an Airbnb close to her son's base. Took all the necessities (including the good China) and had thanksgiving at the Airbnb. Invited all the son's friends on the base to their thanksgiving. Needless to say I was a puddle reading the story.

There was an essay that was popular for a while about life being like riding a train across the country. We go from place to place and life is always changing and bringing new experiences. Changing jobs is just another stop on the journey. A week after my college graduation, I went to work at one company and stayed there until I took retirement. I thought I would never work again and just travel, play, and have fun.

That was 12 years ago and I have played, traveled, and had fun. I also have started another career and worked for three major companies in the past five years. I am getting ready to start with another company next month. They are starting a new program and looking for someone to take charge. I interviewed with them in October and turned it down. Then they contacted me a few weeks later with a much better offer.

If I had known how full of life and energy I feel at almost 74, I would never have worried about getting older. I love the company I am at now and they treat me wonderfully. But I have this desire to keep growing and to keep experiencing new things. When I had a skydiving accident at 67 and had to have back surgery, one of the nurses shook her head and said, I would drive 3000 miles to avoid getting on an airplane and you jump out of one.

I was in the hospital a few years ago with kidney stones. They put a "fall risk" band on my arm and asked me if I used crutches, a cane, or walker at home. I told them I had a walker in the closet at home from my skydiving accident. They took the armband off and told me that I could walk as much as I wanted.

Leaving a job and starting a new one is just another adventure, QJB. The current job will be a memory and the future may hold other surprises. That is what makes life worth living for me.

Happy Monday y'all!

QOTD: I'm killing it when it comes to getting my protein and liquid per day. I never received a calorie goal and my bariatric office shies away from that. However, my goal is sub 1000 calories so that I keep calorie deficient.

I need to work on my snacking. It was out of control this weekend. I know I can only do something about the future and can't change the past.

B: Dannon light and fit coconut yogurt X2

L: Costco cilantro lime shrimp D

D: chicken salad and mushrooms

S: turkey sausage stick while watching my Chicago Bulls

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

QOTD- My vitamins, I'm almost always good with them. Need to work on my protein goal, and less wine.

I put fabric up on my mirrored doors, it was a pain. The doors are 33 1/2" x 92 1/2" so basically 6 yards of 45" fabric that I had to cut 11.5" off of and then the length. Unfortunately the self adhesive velcro did not stick to the fabric, I figured I would need to sew it on, but this morning I walked in here and the panels were on the floor except for the bottom portion. Oh well it was worth a try. Before I resort to sewing them I may try some fabric glue, I tried gorilla glue and it shows through even though it is clear. My Aleene's Tacky Glue is so old I doubt it would work so I may have to order some more. But it makes me happy to see pink instead of a mirror when I walk in here.

I was surprised by rain this morning, it's only the second time it's rained since I've been here.

QJB you deserve to have a job that does not expect you to do 4 peoples jobs, and work so many hours with a horrendous commute. Don't let them talk you into extending the 2 weeks. Just know you've done a great job in an impossible situation and be proud to say enough!

Have a great day everyone!

Julia, I wonder if you could do an extra long curtain rod above the closet doors. That's what I did over my sliders (I hate vertical blinds). Essentially, it's a wall of curtains that I can move aside.
