I am doing well. I am back. I got my head straightened out, there was no need for my poor mindset/habits to bring anyone else down. I am at peace with my journey and actually really proud that I just hit 7 years post op and remain medication free. That is Something to celebrate!

Mike!!! You're back! Oddly, you just popped into my head a couple of days ago - maybe it was a premonition! So good to see you again!

Good morning, Everybody!

JB, I'm so happy to hear about the job offer. This will be much healthier for you. When you give your notice, I would expect that they will try and talk you into staying. Leaving a job that you have had for a long time can be surprisingly emotional and difficult. Be prepared for those feelings and the full court press to keep you, but getting out of the multiple roles and insane commute is what you need. If you need to, remind yourself that you literally called in sick so that you could stealth work 15 hours. It's time to go.

I still have a couple of days to get all sappy with the daily regular posters, but today I want to wish a wonderful holiday to the occasional posters, the drive-by's, those on hiatus and old friends that we have not heard from for awhile. I had intended to list everyone out by name, but the airport trip got the better of me. For the avoidance of all doubt, if you think that its possible that I mean you, I do.

Oldest son is home. We picked him up at the airport at about 11:30 last night and got home at about 12:15. I am definitely feeling that trip. Of course he wouldn't be an engineering student if he didn't have a homework assignment due at 1:00 when he got home. So, we went to bed and he went to work.

I've only been home about a week and Marilyn is already trying to plan two ladies trips, one to San Diego and one to Las Vegas.

QOTD: Green Bean Casserole. Dumping on desserts that I shouldn't have eaten has become a bit of a Thanksgiving traction the last couple of years, so I am going to try and reverse that trend this year.

Breakfast: Egg sandwich

Lunch: Chicken Shwarma

Dinner: TBD based on what DS wants

Have a great day, all!

Bravo, JB!!! Well done. Congrats. 2022 is looking good!

Work is already crazy. What happened to everyone snoozing Thanksgiving week? Today I have to visit my friend (she's home!! At last!), finish up some work, get my brows done and transfer my dogs to my Daughter so she can take them to the desert this weekend while we are in Cabo. Tomorrow is a short day and I get to pick my son up from the airport! My heart picks up a little speed just at typing that. I only see him a few times a year and it's been since 4th of July.

QoTD: cornbread stuffing and our version of "holiday mashed potatoes" Never called them that before, but I sure will from now on! Equal parts cream and butter...I mean really. That's a holiday if I ever had one!

Menu:

B: either P3 or egg and cottage cheese. Still nursing my stomach along

L: probably getting my friend a burger at Habit, and I like their chicken nuggets. So that.

D: leftovers again. Either tri tip or mushroom chicken from Panda Express. Not the best choice, but not awful either.

S: jerky? Barebar? Nothing? (I haven't had a daytime snack in over a week. Yay me!)

Dessert...maybe a dark chocolate miniature.

Peace Everyone!

G'morning all!

QJB - so very happy for you. It was about time. Just make sure when you give your notice they don't change your mind into staying. That place is a poop show when you were there and it will be so much worse without you, just don't stay no matter what they offer you.

Well, DD arrived yesterday. This girl can talk and talk and talk. I swear the second she got in the car she started talking and didn't stop till last night around 9:00 which was her midnight. It was almost like a debrief after an oversea assignment. I was laughing the whole time because it's so good to hear her voice and laughter in this house again.

QOTD: QJB I think I have the recipe for your mom's cranberry jello salad. The first year I was here for thanksgiving, DH's aunt brought that to the table and my mind was blown. I got her recipe and I've been making it since then. I love it. My roasted garlic mashed potatoes are one item the kids always ask for.

My meals yesterday:

I am claiming the 5th. DD was here and all menu plans went out the window and I exaggerated with everything. I just hope this doesn't continue all week.

Have a great Tue, y'all!
