Whats on your Wednesday Menu?
Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
QJB thank you so much for continuing to start us out even when life is crazy. We appreciate you. I love the meme but it reminds me of Mama Cass Eliot. I remember as a kid then saying she passed by choking on a ham sandwich. I wouldn't want to be known for that. It came out that that was nut true but so many believed it.
I got Meal train again this week and they have kids. I'm doing cubed steak for the adults with mashed potatoes and green beans and I'll do Dino nuggets and fries for the kids just in case they won't eat the other food. This family has Covid and can't get out to get food. I don't mind helping however I find the more I volunteer, the more I am asked to do more. I'll soon learn the word no.
QOTD: It has effected every aspect of my life. We get backorder sheets to let us know what did not ship and when it is expected in. I been waiting for some products since 8/25. And it took 3 trips to Aldi to get the cream cheese I wanted.
Accountability: I had Pizzelles with Pumpkin whipped cream. I also had some almonds.

Oh hello, Wednesday! With you comes the arrival of Grammy and Pops and I can't wait! They're technically here to take care of the little one, but they take care of the grown ups too.
QOTD: For us the supply chain issues also are mostly around groceries! Since Busy was born in January 2020 we've been doing grocery delivery. It was just so much easier and then with the pandemic we kept it up. Even in the darkest days of the pandemic we were getting more of the correct items delivered than we are now! I often end up having to schedule a grocery delivery or gasp run into the actual store to get the things that don't come in the delivery. There also doesn't seem to be a rhyme or reason to what I can't get in the delivery, since most of the time I can find it on the shelf.
We're in the midst of drafting and adopting a new strategic plan for my organization. We're working with an outside consultant, but I'm running the process internally and we just had a big meeting with the staff for our final review before presenting the document to our members. It went well, but I'm glad it's DONE. We present the plan to our member library directors tomorrow - some of them participated in drafting the plan but for many they haven't seen it until last week, so it will be... interesting to hear their reactions. Cue the dread here.
8:30 - coffee, egg bites
11:30 - yogurt with hemp hearts, carrots
2:30 - protein shake, berries

G'morning all!
QJB- I hope you decide to stay home, although as Jen mentioned doing 15 hours work is not gonna be good for your eyes.
QOTD: I have noticed empty spots, not necessarily whole shelves. So far I have been able to compensate for certain items and replace them with others. I think the thanksgiving staples will be in short supply come this weekend.
My meals yesterday
- B: coffee
- L: coffee + premier protein
- S: I found pumpkin pie l+f yogurt
- D: Parm cheese + Costco chicken meatballs
- E: 30 minutes cardio + 60 minutes weight training
Happy hump day!

QB. My wish for you is to find a job with a short commute and a second opinion on your eyes. It seems a long time for them to still be bothering you.
QOTD. Repair and replacement parts are an issue across every trade. New Appliances often aren't available. EVEN when "told" they are. Groceries have a few bare spots, I just buy something else. I have found a few things that I like better doing this!
Menu: Neighbors banana tree was harvested, so now we are eating his. Had a protein shake with them. Lunch is Thai broccoli salad with a lime peanut soy sauce dressing, it's better warmed up to me. Husband loves it and so do I. Since I rarely follow a recipe it's always a little different. Need to and some protein, so prolly another shake. Dinner will be salmon.

Good morning ~ I say call in sick - no guilt. Take care of yourself, QJB! Stress isn't good for healing either. I am feeling better today but almost feel like I have an ear infection. I know I shouldn't considering the antibiotics I've been on lately. I think it's just residual jaw pain. I got up and did another workout this morning, yay me! they are the least stressful work outs I've ever had - no packing the gym bag, traffic, people... I wake up in the peaceful dark morning (I'm a morning person) and do my thing while watching history/travel videos. It's brilliant. And the machine keep increasing the speed and intensity of my workouts, nice job smart treadmill! Working on creating a routine before I plunge into more challenging workout or running. Especially with my running shoe issue - I like the fit of the Brooks Ghost the best and it's what I'm currently wearing, but still have not run in them.
QOTD - Yes, not being able to wait for the car we really wanted to buy and dog/cat food supply are at the top of my list. There are others too. I almost cried when for 2 weeks I couldn't find cream cheese anywhere. I really wanted a bagel.
Just ordered Thin Slims 0 net carbs everything bagels and Mr. Tortilla -fried chips and 15 calorie street taco size tortillas if anyone has tried and has a review - please share!
B- coffee and egg bites
l-baby shower - Mexican food potluck
d-Carnitas salad
s-protein puffs, HB egg
Have a great day!

I love the street tacos! I eat them al the time. They freeze really well and last a long time. They are small but that works for me. I also use them as a "bun" to hold together a burger sometimes.

Glad to hear that! Using them for a bun is a great idea. I ordered the flavor variety pack, do you have a favorite?

I only bought the plain ones. I wasn't sure because i was freezing them. Next time ill
mixnit up
Love the meme, gummy bears was the reason I went to Walmart on Sunday.
QOTD- So far groceries have been mostly OK, some things come and go quickly like toilet paper. I use instacart sometimes and they have not been able to get some things I ordered. Since I've only been here a little over 2 months I'm not sure what is normal. Being on an island has inherent supply issues.
I ordered a new power supply for my monitor, and my office is still a mess and I'm hoping I can get it back together.
I need some suggestions on what to do with mirrored closet doors, my desk faces the closet and when I'm on video it's really annoying to see them. I looked at window films but these doors are huge 33" x 92" and it would be expensive and I'm not sure how well they actually work. If anyone has any suggestions let me know.
My stomach has been touchy lately, so I haven't been eating very well. I'm not sure what's going on.
I need to get back to work, too much to do and I haven't been very focused this week. I need to just get it done..
Have a great day everyone!
