Good Morning Everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I mostly worked to get through the millions of emails I had from taking last week off, but I feel mostly ready for the week, I guess. I will be doing amended hours in the office for the next two weeks so that I am not driving in the dark because my vision is still a struggle.
QOTD: Tell us about your first pet! I had a cat when I was a baby that I don't remember at all, but the first cat I remember was named Sunny. He just showed up at our house one day and he was ours after that :) We named him Sunny because he was an all grey cat but he had a patch of bright orange under his neck. I don't remember what happened to him, but I think I had him from about age 3 - 6. My favorite memory of him was that when someone rang the doorbell, he used to jump up on the counter and reach up to the curtain that was over the kitchen door, and move it to the side to see who was there. He was a funny, helpful kitty!
I have been eating terribly. I am defining having too much "comfort food" and not paying attention to my overall diet. I think getting back to a normal routine will be good!

Good mornin everyone...sorry to hear you're still having vision issues JB...that just sucks!
I am feeling rather cruddy. Pain levels are quite high. The weather is just insane. We're supposed to be 85+ tomorrow and then maybe 55 Wednesday. This is just absolutely ridiculous. I just want it to stay one way or the other. This roller coaster ride of temperatures is really rough on me.
No big plans for the day. That I know of anyway. We have the kids after school. We are pretty much done with Christmas decorating. My mom just has to do her elves. The tree is so so. I can't bring up a lot of stuff out of the basement so we're not doing as much as usual. It still looks nice though.
QOTD: the first pet that was "mine" was a poodle mix named Dolly. Some arse hole kid opened our gate and she got out with our other dog Jake. Jake came back but Dolly never did. We looked for her and my only hope is that she was picked up by someone who loved her. She was so so sweet. I still get teary eyed over it. Cat wise it was a kitty named Nutty Buddy. He was really my moms cat but he is the first cat I remember us having...even though there was a Goober when I was really young. Nutty Buddy got hit by a car...still teary eyed over that one too as I was the one who found him on my way to school. I sincerely loved all animals...I cry when I see animals that have been hit. It's a soft spot in my heart.
B: GF waffle, lunch meat, vegan mayo and coffee
L: haven't figured this one out yet
D: either stew or BBQ roast...I think my mom might wait until tomorrow to make the stew with the leftover roast
S: cassava cinnamon chips, quest protein cookie and 1 1/2 cups popcorn

I did the lemon fudge. All I can say is Lemon Starburst. That is all I can think of when I tasted it. Not terrible but probably never again. DH and Mom will definitely fini**** up. At least I was able to use up all the marshmallow in the house.

Thanks for the review! I appreciate it. I think we'll skip it as it sounds so rich. Well I mean starburst sweet and how much it makes.
my mom picked out a caramel apple fudge for me to make. Going to do chocolate and peanut butter. I do the one with evaporated milk...have never cared for the kind that uses sweetened condensed milk.
thanks again!

Good Morning!
Not here to spread any negativity.. but there is snow outside. Dog is impressed, I am not.
QOTD: she was a black lab/Newfie mix.. she was my dads before us kids were born and she was quite old when she came to live with us. Her name was Brenna and she was super sweet. We ended up having to put her down because her back legs stopped working. Until we moved from that house us kids still always jumped off the bottom step of the basement steps because she always used to lay there and we didn't want to step on her.

Learning my new normal, one day at a time.

Welcome to the new week everyone!
I had a great weekend and am ready for the week. If anyone is a marvel movie fan, my review of The Eternals is that it's not very good but it is very long, so there's that. Also, if you're going to cast two of the leads from Game of Thrones maybe don't have the female lead be named Cersei.
Qotd - the first dog I remember was our afghan hound named Wendy; for someone reason I was convinced she was really the dog nana from Peter Pan (who was not an afghan hound, lol). I was very little, under 3.
today I have morning Pilates before the days meetings start. Yay meetings.
menu today is
coffee plus half and half x3
Greek yogurt
ozery with pb
grilled houlumi
Have a great day!

Good morning everybody!
Big win for Baylor Saturday!
I'm in Orlando at a conference for work. It's mandatory COVID testing before everyone leaves home and as soon as they arrive at the hotel, so I can feel safe.
Although I've been going into the office once a week for the past few months, I've been wearing sneakers. In fact, I believe that I have only worn shoes once in almost two years (I wore shorts every single day I was in Florida last year).
I found out yesterday that The sock situation is a disaster. mismatched sock's, missing socks, socks I would never wear that have remained intact throughout the years like dinosaurs DNA in Jurassic Park. You name a sock problem, I've got it. I absolutely cannot explain what happened in that sock drawer over the last two years.
I was tempted to throw all of the socks into the trash and start over.
QOTD: My parents didn't want pets. I believe we got a salamander from a school project. Don't know if it had a name.
Not sure about food, this is my first time at this facility. They have lots of coffee and a wine bar I know.
Have a great day, all!!
