QOTD. I would be giving up chocolate. Cheese is an ingredient in too many recipes .... I only like dark chocolate and have it rarely.

Off today. Getting over my cold, but went and got a COVID test which of course was negative. Work requirement. There is a drive thru testing site less than a mile from me. No waiting but have to get an appointment on line first, which is no problem as I made one and had to Rush to get there. Amazing that these sites are still open.

Menu. Chili, pizza toppings, protein shake and banana from the yard tree. They are the mini type. I will take most of the stalk to work, they gobble them up there. Once you harvest, then you have to cut the tree down. It is really just a large grass plant, the trunk is not woody at all. Cutting thru the trunk takes one or two hits with a machete. Boom. Then there is 15 feet of water soaked vegetation to deal with. Makes good mulch.

I live in southern Florida on the gulf coast. You need Zone 10 for bananas and lots of water. We only very very rarely have any frost, it has been years. Most tropicals grow very well here.

Good morning! Sitting in my window chair with coffee and watching it warm up outside. It's supposed to be about 90 today. We are heading over to California Adventure Park in a while. Our plan today is to wander all their streets and then check off all the mountains. (The mountains are calling, Big Thunder, Space, Matterhorn....).

QoTD: Chocolate. I really like it but step away from my cheese!

menu Still trying to make mostly good choices.

B: leftover roasted chicken and 1/4 C cottage cheese

L: I prepped chicken thighs and veggies in a disposable roasting pan. When we get back for a break from the park to let the dogs out and take a break, we will toss the pan on the barbecue.

D danger zone. No plan, but I?m definitely in a vacation state of mind with dinners this week.

Peace Everyone! Off to get ready to see Mickey and his Peeps.

Happy Pre-Friday,

JBQ-glad you are feeling better today. I am curious about your vision and how that is going.

Today after work I have a book club meeting. I am planning on eating before I leave work, then a protein drink on the way home. I am trying to be more engagted with activities in the community to prevent boredom. I get bored in the evening after my workout and dinner so I am gtrying out some different groups. I did enjoy the Pinochle on Tuesday, it is definitely a learning curve with counting the cards and making bids. The people were very nice about teaching me. I will go again, they meet every week but I am not sure I want to go weekly.

QOTD: I would choose to keep chocolate...Since WLS I don't use cheese much in recipes and typically dont eat it as a snack. I just feel it is too calorie dense. I do use it in some recipes but feel that I could modify the ingrediants to subsitute something else for the cheese. Pizza would be a problem, but I am not a big fan of eating pizza since WLS.

B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen added, cold brew with caramel drizzle, half n half

L: 3/4 c chicken broccoli casserole

D: 2 skewers chicken with Franks wing sauce

S: Choc pp, 100 cal bag kettle corn

E: none

OK my post for today went on yesterday, so I wasn't quite awake yet.

QOTD- I couldn't give up either. Since I don't eat meat cheese has become a staple and I love dark chocolate.

Hoping to get out today and check out a fabric store. If they don't have what I need I'll order it online. Not much going on here, just work and tonight I will have my knitting Zoom call. I'm looking forward to it!

Have a great day everyone!

I've been really struggling with food lately. I can't seem to resist anything and feel like I've been doing too much grazing. I'm going to try to be more aware of it so I can stop it in it's tracks.
