Since I cut the direct TV I seldom reach to turn the TV on. My books, reading and audio, plus tablet, podcasts... I sometimes forget we can watch something on TV. For our relatively small Family room I got the 75" TV in early 2020. I like streaming. before, I was recording, DVR stuff a... and watched maybe 10%? anyway. But.. Seal Team and Swat Team got our attention.

Maybe Ill get it. Probably next year. This year I would be so busy that even if I have subscription, I wont use that.
I'm "the controller" in the company, plus a manger, so the end of the year and beginning of a new year is always crazy for me.

we got Netflix, prime, Hulu+ Disney+ and local channels. (simple antenna). Neither of us watch sports much.

Lately Keith is watching French movies and serials. He is learning French and that is a good practice for him. Soap opera in French are simple enough, but he hates that type of programs.

I love my Roku I used to have one on every TV, now I only have 1 TV and it is a smart TV but I use the Roku more than any other feature on the TV. Easy basically plug & play and input your wifi password and passwords for all your streaming apps and you are good to go.

Good morning ~ Happy to hear you are feeling better, QJB! Yesterday the root canal went by quick and painless until a few hours later... my whole jaw hurts and I have a horrible headache. It kept waking me up all night and Tylenol barely touches it. The thought of eating is a hard no. Not swimming today, just laying low and watching TV today - Dexter New Blood and whatever else strikes me. I have to run some errands also.

QOTD - I would rather give up chocolate than cheese. I LOVE cheese and eat it daily - chocolate is just occasional.

I've had coffee which was okay, but food? I just can't right now.

I had a root canal from my regular dentist, which he screwed up. So I had to get it redone by the Endodontist. The night before my procedure was a Springsteen concert, in the city, which ran way late. The next day, I kept falling asleep during the root canal. The endodontist was like "I'm glad you are feeling relaxed, but please try and keep your mouth open."

I asked the dentist if anyone actually falls asleep he said - all the time! My dad would, he could sleep standing up (Marine). If I need another - maybe pulling a late night or all nighter is the way to go?

How old is your Dad? Marilyn's Dad and his twin were Marines also.

He would have been 88. He graduated HS at 16 and went to Saint Anselm in NH for 2 years before joining. I think he was 19. He had a rough go of boot camp, went through 3 times. Once he was dropped due to a really bad flu, another when his mom died. 26 years later he retired a Lt. Col. I remember my dad talking about twins he knew from home. Murphy rings a bell. They were much younger, about 73. Just curious because you and Marilyn grew up in adjoining towns.

That would be me. I'm not a ex-marine, but when I get comfortable, I dose off. Now for longer dentist visits I bring my own sitting pillow (****yx pillow, and a small pillow to place behind my back. And I have my book or music to listen to. But that's 1/2 day long sessions (I am getting serious work done on my mouth).

The worst for me are MRI, I fall asleep quite often unless they wake me up to breathe. In one (for my head) I snored. for 40 min. My head was in a cage and there was nothing better to do.
