Whats on your Thursday Menu?

Morning everyone! Thanks for keeping us going without me, yesterday. I had my booster on Tuesday and I woke up super sick on Wednesday. I had a fever of 101, and couldn't even keep water down in the morning. Between that and my vision issues, I just laid in bed all day and didn't even open my computer. I even had to cancel my much anticipated hair appointment :( I felt badly all day but woke up feeling pretty good this morning! Yay!
Today is my last day off. I have about a billion things I wish I had gotten done, but because of the eyes and the side effects of the booster I really was just flat on my back for most of the time. I guess that was good, too. I can't complain about a week of extra sleep and binge watching shows!
QOTD: Would you rather give up chocolate or cheese for life? Ugh, why do I even ask things I can't answer, haha. I think I would be happier giving up chocolate, because cheese is a daily staple and chocolate is a special treat... but I would be very sad not to have chocolate again!
I ate exactly nothing yesterday. Grim kept offering me things but I couldn't even handle the idea of eating. I only managed to get down about a half a Diet Snapple all day. I'm not hungry yet today but I am not nauseated by the idea of food, either, so I plan to try eating but keeping it simple.

Happy Thursday everyone! I have been up since a little after 1, I have read an entire cookbook, taken a nice long bath, got through my over night emails, made my ice tea for the day, researched possible isolation hotels in Chile...I am ready for the day to start, lol.
qotd - chocolate, I dont eat much of it other than coating on protein bars....cheese, however, is a staple!
I am bookending my day with Pilates classes, my regular Thursday morning one and then tonight they are doing a black light flow and glow fundraiser for the animal shelter. I have cool leggings that look like the 80s threw up on them which should really pop under the black light...oh and a full day of meetings in between. I did get a lot done yesterday during my light meeting day so go me!

Good mornin everyone. So sorry you had such a rough day yesterday JB!
My appointment yesterday went so so. I'm back on Tylenol 4s. The belbuca just started making me really not feel well. I just have to get through the next 5 weeks. The surgery is still on. My hope is squashed but alas there isn't much I can do. I slept really badly. Had tears in my eyes more than once.
Yesterday the Budweiser Clydesdales paraded down our Main Street downtown. It's the first time I've seen a Clydesdales up close and they are just so beautiful! I wish I could've gotten better pics but my back and a little girl(lol) kept getting in the way. The pic below is the best one I got. I'll share the pics I got of the kids and another one of the Clydesdales tomorrow.
QOTD: this reminds me of an episode of friends. They ask Joey to choose between food or sex. He says he wants girls on bread. This is that kind of question for me. BUT if I had to choose it'd be cheese by a hair. So hard to pick one!
B: GF toast, JUST egg, 1/2 TB jam, cheese and coffee
L: probably a protein bar

Aren't the Clydesdales amazing? We saw them a few years ago and my nieces were in awe!

Nigths are the hardest with pain since there are no distractions from it. Sorry you are suffering.
I have friends that have Percheons Draft Horses. They are extremely large like the Clydesdales. Beautiful.

Glad you're feeling better today, JB! My office is closed today for Veterans Day - last summer I left my library director position for an administrative role in our county-wide system, so I get lots more holidays - yippee! Since I have the day off, Busy and I are going to go visit my aunt who had WLS just last week. She had some unexpected complications with the surgery, but those have resolved and she's doing amazing. My mom has been with her, so we'll get to visit with Grammy too.
QOTD: sadly, I've had to give up BOTH chocolate and cheese because of Busy. She has a cows milk protein intolerance, so we've been dairy free since she was 4 months old. We're still nursing (I'm 90% sure I'll be walking across the graduation stage with her and my boob out), so no real cheese for me and most chocolate is out. Ok, there are some chocolates I can have that don't have dairy but I'm a MILK chocolate kinda gal so the dark chocolate just doesn't cut it for me.
8:30 - coffee and egg bites
11:30 - (plant-based) yogurt with chia seeds, carrots
2:30 - (plant-based) protein shake, apple
6 - Taco Thursday (because Taco Tuesday ended up not happening)
8:30 - rice cake with PB, walnuts
Thanks for the tips on the walking tours! I'm going to give one a try today. Yesterday I ended up putting on a YouTube walking video at lunchtime, but muting it and listening to my audiobook which worked out pretty well and I crushed my step goal!

There is some rice milk chocolate that is pretty decent! I think it's the enjoy life brand. I had to do dairy free for a while and enjoyed that occasionally. Not the really thing but not bad.
