G'morning all!

QJB - so very sorry for what you are going through. I don't know what the timeline for recovery is but I sure hope you can see clearly soon.

I had a great weekend. Sat lunch with gfs at a fish market/restaurant type on the water. Funny that everybody thinks because I'm Italian I should like cioppino: 1) never heard of it until I came here. It's a regional thing in Italy and don't serve it all over. 2) I rarely like a tomato base soup. All of them ordered cioppino but I stuck to salmon and a side of artichokes. Yesterday I went to Costco and let me tell you it was like a mine field for me. All the Xmas chocolate treats were out there. I think most of my time was spent on picking up something, looking at the carb content, sighing, and then putting it back. They have a Santa sack with EIGHT different flavors popcorn of which 5 were sweet. I almost put it in my cart but thought there is no way I can resist this till Xmas. They also had zebra popcorn in front of which I drooled for a good 5 minutes. But, I got home with only things on my list. So that was a good will power flex for me.

QOTD: I love old musicals because they remind me of my dad. He loved musicals and introduced us to all these oldies. By the time we were teenagers we could sing all the songs by heart. Sound of music, Fiddler on the roof, seven brides for seven brothers, and many many more.

My meals yesterday

  • B: coffee + barebells bar
  • L: Protein puffs (my last bag) + hb eggs
  • S:
  • D: havarti cheese (kinda exaggerated)
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 60 minutes weight training - rest day was on Sat.

Happy Monday!

Your Costco story is mine as well this weekend! Nothing but the list, but it was so hard cuz of all the stuff!

Love all the old musicals, too! Definitely Sound of Music and Fiddler Now I have Fiddler songs in my head! Love it.

Happy Monday All

i also had a nice weekend. Did lots of driving practice with my daughter on Saturday and Sunday since she has her first official drivers Ed drive this week. She is a good cautious driver so far. I went to a craft fair on Saturday saw lots of pretty jewelry but didn't buy anything. I did get my steak dinner that I complained about not getting last week. So good! Sunday I did get my hike in. Tried out a new spot that was pretty. All downhill on the start with steep inclines in the way back. It is good for variety though. My accountability with food was on-point. I did allow myself (pre-planned) 1/2 cake donut, m&m mixed in my popcorn on Saturday. I would say that the donut made me want more so it is probably best to avoid foods like that.

JBQ-I hope your eyes are fixed soon. That would be so frustrating to not be able to see well. It is disconcerting.

QOTD: old movies? Well I always enjoy seeing Pulp Fiction.
