Morning everyone! Well, I am not too happy with the LASIK surgery this morning... The procedure itself on Friday was great--painless and easy. They said I would wake up after a long nap able to see perfectly and that I should be able to work the next day. But my vision is MESSED UP. I can't see nearly as well post-op than I could before I went in, and now I don't have any glasses that work, so this is kind of a nightmare. I have an appointment at 7am this morning and I hope that they have a good explanation and a solution, because this sucks.

Also, please excuse any typos because I literally can't read what I am typing.

QOTD: Do you have a favorite old movie? I love the old Hitch**** classics like Vertigo and North by Northwest as my total favs. Last night I rewatched Hitchcok's Spellbound and it is still one of my favorites, too. I think it is brilliant how often the plot line zigs when you think it is going to zag!

Food has been really hit or miss for me over the past few days. Basically, I haven't eaten too much, but what I have eaten hasn't been the best... Calorie-wise I think it all played out okay according to MFP, but I should be more intentional about eating a balanced diet and not just worrying about a calorie goal.

I also did a big pantry reorganization this weekend and discovered that I have a lot of staple items in there that I bought but haven't used. I need to do some better planning today to figure out a menu that uses up some of these pantry ingredients, with minimal grocery shopping to create some good meals. Nothing certain planed yet, but here is my best guess for food today:

B: Protein Coffee (I am using Click brand instead of Fit Frappe!) It's fine, but I will be happy when the supply chain gives it back to me!

S: Egg white & goat cheese omelette

L: ?? need to create some kind of recipe using up chicken sausage & pantry staples.

D: Probably TJ's Chicken Shawarma; veggies & farro?

QJB, I hope they get you sorted today; what they described to you as the ideal is exactly what happened with me but I didn't realize it was "happy path" I thought it was the usual path!

quick post for me, I have to leave at 1 to go to the Van Gogh exhibit so I'm already two hours in and in meetings from 6 to 130, which is a challenge.

yogurt, coffee and cashews, maybe about if cheese. We're going to a food marketplace )which is really just a fancy food court) for dinner. Might have a burger or something chicken.

have a magnificent Monday everyone!

Good morning, everybody!

I left the dishes for our cleaning lady and I'm feeling guilty about that. None of them are my dishes - I came home really late on Saturday night and we went out for dinner yesterday. And my wrist is a little sprained, I had a number of household things that took longer than expected yesterday, I didn't realize she was coming until last night, yada yada. It's still a trash move and I should have been better.

Marilyn comes home from her tennis tournament this morning. She had a 6:00 flight from the East coast and is going straight to tennis drill. I will pick her up from drill at 11:00. At 3:17 Central time, she had a text from her car company saying that they were picking her up. LOL.

Between wine tasting, Grateful Dead touring and my weightlifting meet, I've been away from home quite a bit this last few weeks. Next Sunday, I have a short business trip (about 72 hours) to Orlando and that should be it for my travels for the year. It will be good to be home for awhile.

QOTD: It's a Wonderful Life

Breakfast: Protein Bar

Lunch: Steak

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

hi all we are back from the cruise. highlights were: brown water coming from sink, tv cut out and nothing to watch, almost missed both flights, DH won a large jackpot (large for us), I won a smaller but still big to me couple jackpots. I gained looks to be 1.6 pounds which i'm ok with for now. I will be working on this. food was good but my restriction was back full force, only got in a few bites or so before stopping which helped with the scale. The liquid calories on the other hand... that is probably the 1.6..

QOTD: my DH likes palerider and some of the older clint eastwood ones. we have probably watched every episode of the waltons.

food in no particular order:

salmon

chicken sausage

brussels sprouts

dinner will probably be breakfast or sloppy joes.

We had a nice weekend, we are starting to think about a kitchen remodel so spent some time talking about the possibilities. While at Home Depot checking things out we bought one of the electric fireplace credenza heaters. John put it together Saturday night and I love it!

I was at all the stores yesterday. Home Depot, then Best Buy, then Costco, then Lowes. Our little wine fridge burned out. Fourth time was a charm because I got the right size at Lowes. Costco was a madhouse.

Horrible driving in the parking lot season has also commenced, LOL.

Do you guys ski? Heavenly wasn't open, but people were saying that Mammoth Mountain was.
