What's up Saturday RNY'ers?

Good morning! A late west coaster starting today - no problem. I had a fabulous day yesterday and slept 11 amazing hours last night. Honestly, I think its due to not drinking. It was getting to be a 'thing' there for too long. It's been a week and I feel great. Today we are taking the dogs to the park for a long walk and cleaning the garage - it's a disaster well sort of... My new treadmill arrives Tuesday and I want to create the workout space. I'm going to put curtains on the window and set up a big fan (it can get really warm in there) and create a really nice inviting area. Can't wait.
QOTD - What are you watching, reading or listening to? I'm currently listening to 3 audiobooks - The Richest Man in Babylon, Vanderbilt and Suze Ormond retirement guide to 50+ for the second time. I'm watching A LOT of football and I'm looking for a new series to binge watch - please share!
B- coffee, eggs
l- turkey meatballs, sauce and cheese
d-cheeseburger, no bun
s-protein puffs, jerky
Have a FAB weekend!!

Good morning! brrrrrr, it's 55 here and I am freezing! I'm a big baby. We are killing time before getting a light brunch and then massages. I killed my back last week, and I'm hoping for more relief with the massage. Then it will be nap time and clean up and then off to see my bestie. Super fun day. Have to load the RV this afternoon too. But I've got all my clothes laid out to go, and will pull things from the kitchen. We'll have a busy week ahead, so I've got jerky and power bars and such to eat while my husband makes bad choices at the parks. Mickey, I'm coming for ya!
QoTD: I'm reading Deacon King Kong -- Can't decide if I love it or hate it. And we are watching Rush on streaming. Because I loved Tom Ellis in Lucifer, I wanted to try this. It's unsettling. A little Californication-ish. I had to stop watching that after a few seasons because I just couldn'****ch the vulgarity and crudeness any longer. I don't think I am a prude, but there comes a point where my mother is in my head saying "why would you watch that?" I'll finish season one of Rush, and decide on season two.
Menu:
B: I'm thinking shrimp chipotle enchiladas. I have them hold the tortilla's so I get a bowl of creamy shrimp, Yum
L: pass! a little beef jerky if I need a bit of sustenance later this afternoon.
D: no idea. At my girlfriends, but she always makes sure there are small protein things I can nibble on while we chat and gossip the night away. I'll be drinking wine for sure, but not a whole lot. I'll be driving, so it will be one glass early, and then onto water and hot tea.
Peace Everyone!

Years ago when my mother first got HBO, I walked into the living room and she was watching something really raunchy. She said something like, "I can't believe the filth on this show". My brother told me it was the third time she had watched it.
My brothers had hooked up the HBO illegally, so nobody was paying for it. When a salesperson for the cable company came to the door and tried to sell HBO, my mother said, "No, I would not have that filth in my home".

If you have britbox, I just binged the Long Call (4 episodes in one day); plus they have 5 seasons of Shetland to watch. On Netflix, I loved Locke and Key's first season but haven't checked out season 2 yet.

Please be careful following Suzy Ormond advice. She has a history of being sued for misleading people and giving really bad advice.
Google that.

Yes, I am and I have read articles about her. I listen more for planning ahead and motivation than following her specific investment advice. As a young adult, I was never taught to balance a check book, manage money, save, plan for retirement, never mind protect my credit score. My parents never discussed money - ever. I learned the hard way. Now that I am doing really well, I still listen to all kinds financial news/books/advise. It keeps me mindful but I always go with my gut and what I am comfortable with.
