I feel bad for all of you who are in management positions and are accountable for others. The straight commission, take care of your own stuff gig I have has no drama and an office with a door. Maybe that is why I have been here for 25 years.

It's definitely a challenge. I can honestly say the owner has made this worth my time, so I try to remember that when I want to poke somebody in the eye!

I love being a leader of people but when I'm mentoring people that want to move into that type of role, I am always straightforward. You have to love it to do it well long term and you get paid for the hard conversations not the easy ones. I do think you can tell the leaders who became it because it was expected ans don't really have the passion for it. This is why we always have a leadership or professional development, because everyone deserves the opportunity to advance but not everyone wants to lead/manage. I love my professional sales people, they keep the wheels on!

Mornin' All!

Yesterday was the day after my Moderna booster. I was a little lightheaded most of the day and kept thinking I'd be hit with something worse, like I did after shot #2, but nope. This morning I woke up with a headache - took some Tylenol and it's almost gone. So maybe I'm going to luck out after all. If I can get through the rest of today without any side effects, I'm probably out of the woods this time. YAY!

I'm going to go to the grocery store today and pick up more veggies, fruit, and maybe even meat (which I eat very little of these days). And I also need to make plans every day to be out of the damn house in the afternoon. My weight this morning is higher than it's been in five years (only by a pound, but still - alarm bells went off). It's all this late afternoon grazing. It has GOT to stop. It's not stress - it's boredom. And with cold weather coming on, it's going to get worse if I don't do something about it. Anyway, I'm going to be like Kelly and add more variety to my meals - including a piece of fruit or more veggies (i.e. fiber). I'm hoping more "filling" meals will help with this, too (although I'm not sure - I'm not responding to hunger - I'm just bored - but, it's worth a shot. I do think getting out of the house in the afternoon WILL help, though...)

QOTD: I watched a movie last night for one of my film groups that I saw several years ago - The Wedding Banquet. I had a few good laughs while watching it...

B: I think I might just have a protein shake since I'm not hungry (and have breakfast as my MS which will hopefully let me push off my lunch until later in the day - this sometimes helps, too...). Coffee with half & half.

MS: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with blueberries

L: chickpea/miso sandwich with cucumber and tomato slices. Maybe some other veggie as well.

AS: maybe a protein muffin and an apple

D: not sure. I was thinking madras lentils on 1/2 a pita - but if I get some chicken today, maybe that and veggies instead

ex: some kind of cardio and the other half of my weights routine (did 1/2 last night)

have a great day, everyone!

G'morning all!

QJB - I concur, passive aggressiveness is not a good trait. You have a problem? Tell me straight so I can fix it.

Thank you for your well wishes about my clumsiness. It's def a muscle issue; I think while I was falling I twisted in order to protect myself, and the muscles on the back ribs didn't like the move. So yesterday while I was working out and my body was warm I had no pain. But the second I stepped out of the shower the pain came back. All day it was hard to sit and get up so I used a lot of biofreeze. We shall see how I'll do today on my run.

QOTD: tiktok. Especially a couple of accts where the husband is Italian and the wife is American; the husbands are flabbergasted at some of American ways of living and cooking.

My meals yesterday

  • B: coffee
  • L: Costco egg bites + cauliflower thin
  • S: Whisps Parmesan cheese crisps
  • D: crockpot salsa chicken
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 60 minutes weight training

Happy hump day!

Good morning ~ The crystal ball! In our meetings we often say 'I don't have a crystal ball' So I found one on Amazon - it will be here next week and will look great in my office! Good luck with the PA folks, that's no fun. Today I have a staff meeting and I promised to bring food as I have been boo'd the last couple of times. I'm sure they are thinking donuts, but surprise! I made a gorgeous fruit salad. And for those that may be disappointed, all of our left over Halloween candy too. I've only had one piece since Halloween but Rob has been eating so much and making himself sick! We still have a ton so he asked me to get rid of it. No problem, it's not calling me this year which is awesome since last year was a total **** show. I guess I do learn!

QOTD - Rob was singing Peter Frampton the other day "Baby, I love your ways". Yesterday he texted me - 'Baby, Did I ever tell you I love your waist?' he immediately corrected to 'ways'. I texted I like waist better! So now he sings - Baby, I love your waist. He is adorable.

B- coffee, eggwich

l- buffalo chicken bites

d-curry chicken

s-fruit salad, almonds, jerky

Have a great day!

Good Afternoon Queen JB and Menuers,

I have had a challenging morning starting with me tripping on my run and brush burning my knee. No well wishes needed I'll survive. Then I had a maintenance appointment for my car and the shuttle never came back to get me to work on time. They were done with the car before the shuttle was available so I was an hour late for work (not that I punch a clock or anyone noticed just the principle. I did get 2 whipped coffee while waiting. They have a courtesy coffee machine at the dealer and the whipped coffee is worth the wait but I burned the roof of my mouth on it. Picking skin off as I type. But enough about me and my day. LOL

Jim I wish you all the luck on your event this weekend. We want to see you with some medals!! And congratulations to the young boy king. You have to be so proud of all your children.

QOTD: Again my answer will be TicTok.

Accountability: I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I did have a few Almonds and a Chocolate covered pretzel. I am cutting out the oatmeal today to see if that helps.

Accountability: I know I am close to the 4 year mark and this is when the gain comes, but man I hate seeing the scale. I have not done much different than I have all along but the scale says I am. UGH. I did graze dinner last night and ate a bunch of Snicker doodle almonds. Hopefully I can reign it in today.
