If it were not for fear of COVID, I would be working the polls today. I have participated since I retired back in 2010. Joined local groups, stood on the corner or marched with signs, signed up voters, passed out literature, and traveled to speak with representatives at the state capital. I have a strong feeling that one of our local representatives, Tim Ryan, will one day be president Tim Ryan.

He is 49 now and have been in politics for 20 years. He feels so strongly about people getting a fair shake in life and dedicates himself to making things better. I have supported him from the beginning. He is not afraid to speak out and to fight for what is right. Remember that name.

Yes for hair, skin and nails. I started it when I was in the phase of massive hair loss. I feel that it helps to regrow my hair (I have short new hair all over my head now) plus I felt my skin looked drawn, loose, wrinkled. My skin feels softer, less dry but still lots of loose skin... which is to be expected due to the rapid weight loss. I fear plastic surgery is in my future!

Collagen proteins are great for skin, nails, JOINTS, bones and ...the intestines. But, it s not a complete protein and shouldn't be counted towards min of 50-60 gr of proteins per day. The min daily proteins are for muscles and organs.

Collagen is easy to take, and it really can be added to anything.

QOTD- No, but I follow most politics.

I've decided to invest in a couple of fans before I bite the bullet and get another A/C installed in my office. I have a box fan and an oscillating fan on order they should be here by Wednesday. Since I only have windows on one side and a sliding glass door on the end, the cool breeze seems to come from the door so I figured I'd use the box fan to direct the cool air to the other rooms and use the oscillating fan to move the air. I know this time of year most people aren't worried about being too hot, but when it's 82+ inside it's a bit warm. The ceiling fans help to make you think it's cooler.

I ate a few of my left over candies and had nausea most of the morning. I'm trying to stay away from them and I need to find a way to get rid of them.

I have a ton of work to do so I'd better get going.

Have a great day everyone!

QJB- Yeah to the closing on your condo, it can be a long annoying process. I was supposed to close on 10/1 and finally closed on 10/25. Just be thankful it's over.

Why are we so afraid to just throw away unhealthy food? I am the same way, it just seems so wasteful. Luckily, I have other people in my house who will eat the "bad" foods..

Good evening everyone.

I'm sitting here under a heated blanket to see if it'll help my legs. I can't use a heating pad on my back due to my stimulator. I'm really hurting...I've been in tears on and off all day.

nothing much happened today. I had to make a fruitcake for my uncle George for his birthday tomorrow. I found a recipe he loved last year and made it again. It made FOUR FRUITCAKES. All but one going to him. My mom is keeping the smallest one. She hates fruitcake but likes this one. I had some last year and it is very good. It's a white fruitcake...no alcohol. Dried apricots, raisins and glacé fruit. I added some diced dates because I didn't have enough apricots. My mom said it's a winner. Definitely not a healthy thing!

hope you all have a great evening.

my food has been really sporadic.

QOTD: I vote that's about it.

Mel
