QOTD: I doom scroll the internet & watch sports in the background. I like playing an online word game - Word Streak and there's rarely a day I go without playing.

Busy Friday for me. Made myself a road coffee - iced TJ cold brew w SF vanilla & stevia. Went to the local hospital radiology to do knee x-rays. I don't think they're going to see anything but my pain management doctor says this is the first step for my knee pain. Then went to the eye doctor for vision test. Luckily found a parking spot right in front. That's what I call a win. Fought the crowds at Costco. Later tonight, I'm going to a Halloween Party but will not be dressing up. I just am not feeling wearing a costume.

B: Oikos Triple Zero strawberry yogurt(anyone recommend a better flavor or low cal/high protein brand? I don't really care for this flavor vs. my normal choice of Dannon light& fit coconut) & small banana

S: I'm tempted to try the cheese and sausage off a square slice of thin crust pizza at the party. I am undecided if I actually will but it's been stewing on my mind.

Tell them you are "a work in progress!" They are going to notice your weight change!

Plus, I never tried anything new (Especially if I wasn't already eating some version of it) in public. That first 6-12 months were a real eye opener!

Do you have gout in your knee?

Jim-No gout in my knee. When did you develop gout? I had gout in my feet a few years ago but haven't had a flare-up since. I need a right hip replacement and my body has overcompensated, producing pain in my back and right knee. I see a pain management doctor monthly. At my last visit, she recommended the x-rays of my right knee. The orthopedic surgeons I've visited won't do the hip replacement until my BMI drops below 40. Only 70+ lbs to go!

I had it off and on for the last few years before surgery. But when I started losing, all of the Uric Acid stored in my fat cells released into my bloodstream and I got it really bad for about three months.

Well hell at this rate your less than 6 months away. I'll be cheering for you. Get it done as soon as possible. It's a game changer. I never had one but know a few who have and are very happy with mobility now.

Oikos triple zero go to is the Apple Cinnamon, Blueberry, and Salted Caramel. However the lemon and orange vanilla are good if the others are not available. I am big on the coconut Light and Fit but they have seasonal toasted marshmallow that rocks too.

One of my go-to yogurts are the Two Good ones and some harder to find ones are Chobani zero sugar, chobani complete and ratio. If you live near a Ralph's or foods co there are ones called carbmaster and they have cottage cheese too.

actually, I think all Kroger affiliates have Carbmaster products. Here in south central Wisconsin that would include Metro Market and Pick 'n Save. But I think they have different names in different parts of the country.
