What's on your photo Friday menu RNY'ers?
Mornin' All!
My sister just left with the carrot cake and potato salad I made for my mother's surprise birthday luncheon. I hope mom's friends eat ALL of both since I used full-fat ingredients in both and real sugar in the cake. I do not need any of that in my house! I have my annual physical later this morning and of course I am up 1.5 lbs from yesterday morning. I'm sure it is jus****er weight, but sheesh....couldn't it have waited until tomorrow? Why does this always seem to happen right before I'm supposed to get weighed??
I didn't do any exercise yesterday, so that's on the docket for today. Both weights and cardio. It's supposed to rain off and on all day, so not sure what kind of cardio I'll do - maybe the stationary bike at the gym or some youtube video, I suppose...
QOTD: I usually just crack open my laptop and surf. Or else get out on my bike.
B: plain Greek yogurt with blueberry compote. Coffee with half & half.
MS: nuttin'
L: I'll stop by the luncheon and probably have half a sandwich with the group - and some raw veggies (my sister is bringing a deli tray and a veggie tray).
D: well, we were supposed to have a family pizza party with my mom (since she doesn't know about the surprise luncheon), but evidently a decision was made to push that off until tomorrow, only I was just informed of this this morning. It's just as well since I don't need to have two meals out today. But now I have no clue what I"m going to have for dinner. Maybe a veggie burger and vegetables (??)
have a great day, everyone!
Mernin errybody, happy FriYAY!
QOTD - Nap with dogs, yoga, tiktok!
Breakfast - broke fast early to have a spooky breakfast with coworkers! I had Abuelita hot chocolate made with oat milk, a papa ranchera taco, and a cupcake. I even made fresh cinnamon whipped cream to top the hot chocolate.
Lunch - Panera veggie sandwich, side salad (working lunch)
Dinner - bbq tofu, steamed veggies, baked chips
Picture is me, one of the rare occasions I was actually feeling myself. It was me a couple of weeks ago, on my 47th bday!
I hope you all have an amazing day and weekend! Happy Early Halloween!

Thank you! You know, this is what happens when you are sent to work from home for a year and see no one but your husband and 5 dogs. I always wanted to do it, but I was too heavy or too old, or too whatever. Finally, I just told my sister (she's a hairstylist and runs a salon) "chop it off, I will do the rest!" I hadn't cut it since 1997 if you can believe that. She cut it, I bleached it, and did half blue and purple. Then pink. Then, red...and so on and so forth. I won't ever grow it out again, I love it! It's been very freeing. My point is, if you have even the SLIGHTEST desire to do something like this, just do it. For yourself.

Every time I go past the barber shop I am so tempted to go get a great faded short cut. Then I remember how many times i busted my head open and I am afraid the scars will just be gross. It look great on you. I'm a bit jelly

QOTD- I read, or watch TV just to shut down my brain.
Denver is beautiful especially in Fall. I did drive along the beach but it was so choppy I didn't see anything but white caps. I couldn't find my binoculars but did find my unsweetened cocoa for my mocha's. I have a large Tuperware container and I jammed it in the box that is the cocoa, I bought 25lbs on Amazon so I should have enough for a couple of years at 1Tablespoon per day that's a lot of cocoa. Ghirardelli of course. I love that fountain in Ghirardelli square too I don't remember who posted it, but it brings back memories.
Yesterday when I tried to open the curtains in one of the bedrooms the curtain rod came out of the wall, they only used screws no anchors so another trip to Home Depot and I'll try to get it done before it gets too warm.
I get to watch my Ducks tomorrow, and the Seahawks on Sunday so that is the only thing I have scheduled this weekend. I'm going to try to get some more stuff unpacked and put away, or I hope so. If my screws come I can get my office together and have my desk back.
Have a great day everyone!
