Good morning. And just like that, I'm back at my desk. Today and tomorrow should fly by. Nothing planned at all at this moment until Sunday at 5 when we celebrate our youngest granddaughter's 10th birthday and the the trick or treating commences. I do need to get groceries. My husband will be working hard on figuring out window replacements for the rig -- and for the house. We've had a bad run on glass lately!!! The side window has to be ordered and replaced before 11/6. or we have to completely re-jigger our next outing. Which is a trip that was planned and paid for in November 2019 for March 2020. I have to use those Disneyland tickets up by the end of the year, or bu-bye. And I am not willing to give those up!

QoTD: Not really. Though my Mom started putting these fake birds on our Christmas tree about 1975. I hated them. So I would always turn them upside down. When Mom asked why, I said, they are dead birds! How can they be standing upright. Then she gifted them to my daughter and nieces and the game is on. When I go to their houses during the Christmas holidays, they do their best to hide them, and I do my best to silently sneak in their and turn them upside down. I generally get a text a few hours or days later saying something like "Dammit Mom!" Or Dang it AL (Aunt Lisa), I thought I kept my eyes on you!!!!

Menu: Back on the wagon today for sure!

B: 1 hb egg, 1/3 c cottage cheese

L: 1/4 C edamame spaghetti with caccio de peppi sauce, one chicken thigh.

D: 4 oz Sea Bass, TJ's cauliflower butternut squash risotto and roasted carrots. Making a butter/maple/miso basting sauce for the sea bass.

S: I brought jerky, protein chips and a protein bar. Hopefully, I will need none of them. But I have good options if needed.

Peace Everyone!

I have two squirrels in my home. They are light and life size and I love them. They sit in my entry way. It's a running Joke that when I have guest they magically make there way off their post and end up somewhere in the house. Sometimes it's days before I find them.

Good Morning Melody and Menuers,

I love the Meme. Very surprised there was no cat. That is usually your go to. I am so sorry you are having to deal with crappy neighbors. I can not believe your mom went out and confronted them. I would have just called the cops and let them handle it. She is way more brave then I am. Hope things get better soon.

Queen JB I hope you get your internet back soon and your out of harms way.

I can smell the weekend from here. I am busy with a race, Halloween Party, Sunday we will Volunteer passing out coats in a low income community and we have Trick or Treat Sunday night. Plus taking care of Mom. Looks like it will be busy and on top of it the rain is supposed to start this evening and hang out to Sunday evening. I hope it stays dry for the race. I am still going to run no matter what. I want another medal. I love the collection I have started.

QOTD: I have a ceramic Santa head tea light holder that has a marble as the puff at the end of Santa's cap. My brother claims he got it in first grade when they had a sale at the school where you could gifts for your family. It's mine now.

Accountability: I ended up eating dinner out after the event and had an Old Fashion.

Morning all ~ Hope JB/Grim are okay and it's just a power outage. Melody - I can only imagine what that must be like having that next door. I would avoid any and all contact with them, period - seriously. I would definitely call the police every time they were disturbing the peace and especially when they were cooking. You can't hide that smell and it could be probable cause for search. My two cents.... Sending you peace.

Working from home again today - not feeling well still. Antibiotics are killing my stomach and I'm so fatigued. I have my endodontist appt this afternoon, fingers crossed the tooth can be saved. Otherwise, I have nothing going on but rest.

QOTD - Christmas ornaments I have so many precious ones from childhood that were homemade, gifts or inherited from my mom and dad. Every year when decorating the tree its a flood of sweet memories.

Food is whatever today - I just want to feel better.

G'morning all!

Melody - very sorry about your neighborhood situation. That must be tough and scary.

QOTD: since the year I got married we bought a xmas ornament representing the most momentous event of that year. I love it when we open that box and reminiscent of past years. There are some related to trips we took, some about Star Wars movies (priorities) that came out that year, our kids' first xmas, and other important events in their lives. Last year we got two clear ones and put the graduation tassel of the kids in there (both graduated in 2020), I didn't want anything related to the pandemic on the tree. I'm flummoxed about what to choose for this year.

My meals yesterday

  • B: coffee
  • L: Costco egg bites + cauliflower thins
  • S: Ratio yogurt
  • D: TJ fajitas
  • E: 10K jog

Happy jr Fri-yay!

Mernin errybody, happy Friday eve!

QOTD - A Christmas ornament my youngest made me when she returned from Europe. It's a picture of her in Brussels, smiling hugely. She made it with ice cream sticks and painted it and it's lovely. She made it when she was 18, and gave it to me and once it's up on the tree it's Christmas for me.

Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water

Lunch - having lunch at a local place called La Panaderia. Veggie sandwich, with soup and a pastry for sure!

Dinner - not sure, but probably tofu scramble, leftover baked squash and toast.

I hope you all have a great day!

Christina

JBQ PSA:

She made it in to work, though it sounds like she shouldn't have...the wait for coffee was over An hour!!!! A travesty of epic proportions if you ask me.

she had to dodge too many downed trees to count but is safe. Will check in when internet and life allows.

i feel confident Grim will have something delicious waiting for her when she does make it home
