What's on your Monday Menu?
Good morning, everybody!
I was rocking a pair of Grampy shoes yesterday. Saturday we went fishing and when we were packing up, I noticed that my boots were covered in river gravel. I didn't want to make a mess in my son's truck bed, so I went down to river with the plan of leaning over the bank and dipping the soles of the boots into the river to wash them off. Well sure enough, I leaned, dipped, and promptly fell off of the bank. Easy fall, I landed on my feet on a sandy shallow area. But deep enough to soak both pairs of shoes and socks.
The ride home was soggy, but the thought of a soggy plane ride Sunday was worse. It was about 7:00, so I was resigned to all of the stores being closed. Fortunately, I had an epiphany and remembered that Target would be open. As I later learned, Target has a large woman's shoe department. But they don't really have a men's shoe department at all. Just a few scattered throughout the clothes racks.
I was finally able to find a pair of Sketchers memory foam with built-in elastic ties. Not exactly my No Bull's as far as cool factor goes. But I will be tearing up the ladies with these babies, once I hit the the mall walking circuit.
I certainly appreciated the dry feet on the plane ride home. But these shoes are going in the dark recesses of my closet until I am old enough to be the guy standing in front of the First Class line asking when Group 9 is going to board. I may even lay them for down for 25 years and wear them on my Octagenarian dates with Hilary, long after the rest of you have moved into the Small Home For Left Leaning Spinsters (SHELLS).
Concert review tomorrow.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
I had a nice long weekend but kinda glad I am back to work. That is one way to keep me from snacking. I have very few plans this week. Wednesday evening I plan to got to a event sponsored by a local hospital on women's health. They do it ever couple years and they have fun giveaways and usually provide some fun health food so that will be dinner. Last time they had black bean sliders and they were very good. I also have the Jack-o-Lateran Jog on Saturday. Hoping the weather is nice for that.
I am done with my PTO for this year which my year ended on Thursday so I reupped and now have 20 days to spend as I wish. Just as I suspected there was no acknowledgment of the 25 year anniversary. I plan to travel this year. Where I do not know but somewhere.
QOTD: We have a 2 car garage and yes we park inside. Sometime I have to get on DH because he gets pack ratty with the things he drags home but I prefer the garage parking just because you never know weather or criminal wise what goes on out there.
Accountability: I did not go overboard on bad food choices but probably ate too many good choices.

Chrissy,
Sorry about the lack of acknowledgement at work. People suck sometimes. I would also be disappointed.
