Mornin' All!

this is going to be a really busy week (for a retiree, that is...). Something going on every day - and some days, multiple things. Last night I was trying to figure out how to squeeze all of my exercise in, esp since we only have one or two days tops that might be OK for biking. I'm kind of tired of youtube videos, so I've been looking at classes (i.e. other than Aqua Zumba classes, since I can't make those this week because of meetings). Hopefully this will all work out...

this morning I have to take MIL to get her COVID booster - then I have a committee meeting (on Zoom) for a couple hours this afternoon. Oh well - at least it'll keep me occupied so I won't snack. It's been hard to control lately.

QOTD: we have a two-car attached garage and I'd never buy a house without one (although at our age, I doubt we'd buy another house - next abode will probably be a one-story condo...). We both park in there - and I'm glad we can since there have been a LOT of car thefts in this city this past year. A few years ago we only had one car since we both worked on campus and took the bus to work. We loved having the two-car garage then, too, since we could store so much "stuff" in there..

B: plain Greek yogurt with cinnamon/apple compote. Coffee with half & half.

MS: protein shake

L: pumpkin protein muffin?

AS: skyr with raspberries, skinny bagel with cream cheese

D: Not sure. Maybe chicken skewers with some kind of vegetable

have a great day, everyone!

Good morning ~ Can't wait to see your furniture pics, QJB! I had a lovely weekend of relaxing, minimal errands and chores - just must have and do's. I'm going into the office late because I'm a wimp - it is so dark, pouring and windy. My night vision for driving is bad enough but add in pouring rain and wind and its a hell no. I cannot see with the spray on top of that so I will wait until it gets light. I have dentist appt today for a cleaning. I'm not looking forward to this at all because my teeth have been WAY more sensitive to cold lately. I'm cringing just thinking about it...double up on the numbing rinse/gel, please. I need a xanax!

QOTD - We have a 2+ car garage that I park in, it's huge. We have some work to do in there to organize to bring in Robs car. We have so much cardboard to recycle that is taking up so much room. Also, the new treadmill is going out there - yay!

Totally agree! I don't mind getting my teeth cleaned, it's the sensitivity to cold! When they shoot that cold water or air in my mouth I want to jump out of my skin!

I started using Sensodyne for my evening brushing and it's made a ton of difference for me!

When I went to my dentist last month for cleaning she prescribed me a flouride toothpaste. They also "painted" flouride onto me teeth as extra protection. She said that studies have shown that people who have RNY have increased dental issues. I am assuming due to our malabsorption. Ask your dentist if the sensitivity to cold may be due to this issue.

My hygenist also said that higher protein diets lead To more calculus build up, so that and the malabsorption can be a double wammy

That may be why my dentist wants me to go every 3 months instead of 6?

I will ask about the RNY connection. They did use the 'paint' fluoride last time. Now that I think about it, I had just finished my invisalign treatment and had the 'buttons' that were cemented on every single tooth removed (it was horrible). That is why she did the fluoride treatment. I wonder if that is why I'm more sensitive now? Whatever it is it's NO BUENO.
