Happy Monday, Gang! Hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Mine was nice :) The new family room furniture came and I love it! its comfy and looks nice (pics on Friday!). We don't spend much time in that space, now that it isn't my office, except for entertaining but maybe I will spend more time out there, now!

I'm off from work today for both my mammogram and my annual exam. Not my favorite day of the year, but I am grateful that my doctor's office has 6 floors with just about every service you would need in one place, so that I can coordinate these appointments. After that I need to drive out to my lawyer's office to finish up the last paperwork for the condo sale and then head over to do one last deep clean/vacuum and then that should be the last time I am ever there. Crazy!

QOTD: Do you have a garage? Do you park in it? We have a one car garage and Grim's truck doesn't fit in it, so it's mine...But for the last few months, we have had so much stuff in the garage that I haven't been able to get in there! We made a good dent in it this weekend (by "we" I mean I had absolutely nothing to do with it, lol), but not quite enough to fit the car in, yet!

Food will be a little up in the air, mid-day, because I'll be out of the house for an undetermined amount of time, so I am not sure how accurate this will be, but here is the current plan.

B: Protein Coffee & 1 Garden Lites Spinach Egg White Frittata

L: Protein Bar

D: Salad with Steak & Feta Cheese

Good mornin JB and everyone. Hoping you all had a good weekend.

Nothing much planned for the day. We have the kids after school so that's the only thing set in stone. I need to make some phone calls. Part of my adjustable bed isn't working. I know what it is and I've already called but haven't heard back after sending the receipt info. I was so hoping it wouldn't be a hassle. The electrical box has a malfunction. The motors are working fine but the part that controls the foot of the bed doesn't lift the bed. If they could just send the box I have someone who could fix it. We'll see I guess.

I'm not feeling particularly good. Same story different day. I see the pain management NP on the 11th. I am going to ask for a different pain medication. This stuff just doesn't do enough. I can't concentrate on anything. I put up my chainmaille stuff for a long while. I tried to do some yesterday and my mind just couldn't think it through. I'm very frustrated and conflicted. I think I need a second opinion on my back but I face being iced out of the field here in my city. Trust me it's a very valid concern. So I have a lot of thinking to do. My brain is just a mess of confusion. A lot of tears have been shed.

QOTD: we have a very small one car garage. Right now though it's is full of crap. We need to clean it but with my back issues it's just been hard to get done.

B: JUST egg cups, chicken sausage and coffee

L: turkey lunch meat, half a GF pita, 1/4 cup shredded cheese and a L&F yogurt

D: I might make a pot of beans in the instant pot...my mom is wanting to put some up and we have some bacon that needs to be used up. We'll see

S: turkey sausage & cheese stick, chai tea and jerky

Melody,

I am sorry you are experiencing so much pain. Praying the doctors can help you get a handle on it.

Happy Monday everyone!! I am looking forward to Halloween on Sunday but I had a very good weekend, Check out the reopened wing of our art museum and then met a friend to see Dune and have dinner, then yesterday I watched it again on HBO Max (needless to say, I liked it).

QOTD - yes and I do park in it. I keep the garage organized enough so that I can but not as organized as I've seen some garages!

I have a pilates class this morning before work and then my trainer wasn't able to meet on Saturday so I have a make up session late afternoon.

menu today will be

coffee plus half and half X3

pumpkin overnight oats

everroast chicken and slice of cheddar

slice of thin crust pizza

Have a great day!

hi all i had a few days off the board. my mom came up and stayed with us this weekend for the first time. the 'barn' has always been a work in progress so i think we are almost done except exterior paint. then we can decide if we want to sell it next year or wait. we will see but i don't see how we can live anywhere else at this price. we will see.

QOTD: we live in a barn dominium, part of it is a 2 story garage. we do not park in it, BUT we have a brand new shiny barn/garage door as of last week! that only took 4 months due to the steel shortage. We have business inventory in there so I also would not want to mix carbon monoxide and products. We will just spend the $20 each month for unlimited car washes.

Food was crazy this weekend, there was bratwurst, boiled peanuts, peanut butter /apples, chocolate... the works so I'm back to it this week. We leave Sat or our cruise.

I would love to see pictures of your house (barn). So many cool things you can do to deocorate and make it yours.

it was 'done' when we bought it and was supposed to be cosmetic changes but it was a huge can of worms- plumbing issues, septic issues, well issues, roof issues, and mice and snakes and bears. we are just now finally stable.

Good morning all.

JB- Sounds like a busy day. I can imagine it being bittersweet on your last visit to the old place. I always felt accomplished getting all the wrap up cleaning done.

QOTD: I don't have a garage but my neighborhood has ample street parking and I usually get a spot right in front of my apartment. When I look for a new neighborhood in Chicago, street parking is up there on my priority list since I have experience with having to hunt for parking spots blocks away.

B: Dannon light and fit coconut yogurt, cold brew coffee with sugar free vanilla

L: 2 chicken skewers with sf BBQ sauce

D: ???

S: SF Bomb popsicle

Yesterday, I snacked on too much turkey jerky while watching football. I didn't pre-portion and was eating straight out of the bag. Trying not to be hard on myself but just acknowledge it and change it up next time.

Mkess,

We have all made missteps on our diets. Great job on identifying where you went wrong. I am impressed with your weight loss to date!
