Whats on your Thursday Menu?
that would be the best scenario. I got into this because of an article I read a couple of years ago that was in either The Atlantic or The New Yorker - about some legal guardian who pretty much royally screwed her ward (took money - made decisions that a family member probably would not have made, etc). It was awful! I was talking about it with a friend of mine who's an estate attorney in Minneapolis. She said although probably 95% of the people who are guardians of non-family members are wonderful, upright, honest, etc, this isn't the first time she's heard of bad situations like the one in the article. So she told me to make sure I have all my wishes well-documented in my estate plan and have people lined up to step in if needed...and if at all possible. So I did - and on top of that, I decided to become a volunteer guardian so that at least one person doesn't become a victim of one of the bad apples...
Good morning, everybody!
I'm sure you will be an adorable Ice Latte (Tall).
It's been almost 4 years and I've never stopped hating the blasted CPAP machine. I don't think that I will ever get used to it. And the company that is supposed to send me supplies is driving me crazy. They say they can't ship anything without a referral from my primary even though they have a referral from the sleep doctor. I don't understand why Walgreens can dispense drugs with a specialist's referral, but they can't send me a clean piece of plastic.
My Primary left our hospital system and it took some time to get assigned a new primary. But even with the new primary I am still stuck with the same old filthy supplies and with air blowing all over my face. And endless calls to the medical supply company. One of my friends just opted out of the whole medical system and just self-paid his machine and supplies, I am beginning to think that was the better option.
QOTD: I am excited to have all of our children home for the holidays. And going to Colorado this afternoon to see my oldest son. And seeing where my youngest son chooses to go to college. I would say Marilyn's car, but I don't think that it will arrive within 6 months.
Breakfast: Sausage and cottage cheese
Lunch: Hamburger
Dinner: We will see as will be traveling to Denver
Have a great day, all!

If you call the number on the back of your insurance card they should be able to direct you to a preferred medical supply company that can get you the supplies you need. I stopped wearing my CPAP when I hit goal. I know I still need it but like you I hate it too much.

Jim, my husband uses sleepquest for his cpap. As long as you have a PPO they send you the stuff regularly and without having to go through a Dr. Infact we have so many extra tubes and paraphernalia that we can open a cpap store. Don't know if sleepquest is in your area or not but worth looking them up.

I also hate my CPAP. More or less hate having to travel with it... You can find replacement parts on Amazon for some of the machines.
