Hey everyone, sorry for being MIA yesterday. I worked from 2:30am - 8:30pm and my only breaks were my horrible commutes. And as usual my self care was total **** I had 3 cups of coffee, 3 cookies, and 1 Trader Joe's Chocolate Mousse bite (all served in meetings) all day. WTF is wrong with me? Praying that today is a lot better.

PPQOTD (I have to answer Jen's from yesterday)!: I am making myself into a Starbucks Iced Latte. I think it's going to be adorable.

QOTD: What is something coming up that you are excited about? About 6 months ago I ordered a new big comfy sectional for the family room and it is finally getting delivered on Saturday! I can't wait to see how it looks!

Good Morning!

I thoroughly enjoyed my day off yesterday.. I did lots of nothing and then some baking and cleaning.. felt nice to unwind. This morning is going to be stressful as I am in training this morning for TAVI (they implant a new aortic valve on top of the old valve through the groin) .. so I will do the first TAVI case, and then head back to the Cath Lab to finish the day..

We also finally settled on an AirBNB for our trip - and things are really starting to become real. We decided airBNB vs all inclusive because I was hesitant to stray too far from my meal plan, and it really just didn't seem worth the price if I wouldn't be able to find food that would sit well (and im still alcohol free) but either way we are excited!I am travelling with my boyfriend and one of his friends, both of which enjoy eating on the healthier side which should make it easy for meal prep.

b: fairlife latte, egg whites, salsa, cheddar

S: yogurt, raspberries, granola

l: steak, cauliflower, mushrooms and onions

d: salad and a mismatch of left over protein from the fridge

You are probably right on the airbnb vs all inclusive; I won a reward trip to an amazing all inclusive about 3 months post op and they were incredibly accommodating for anything I needed but they always seemed sad by my plates with two or three bites out of the food. Two weeks later when we did the ring road in Iceland, there was a lot less pressure since we basically just ate from the grocery stores (I wish I could get black licorice skyr here).

Where you guys heading again? I missed that. I have done some all inclusive since surgery and surprisingly you can eat pretty healthy. Also Alcohol. I just order Vodka and a splash of water and squirt some Mio in it for flavor. My favorite Mio is the orange vanilla. Sometimes I'll just drink vodka on the rocks if it is flavored. I love Coconut Ciroc on the rocks.

Nothing big planned for the day today. Might go get some fruit at Sam's but I'm not sure we will. Would be nice to have a lazy day.

QOTD: Nothing I can think of really. I guess thanksgiving?

B: leftover serving of GF pizza(not the best choice but I'm not feeling up to cooking)

Good morning. After getting my covid booster Tuesday, I slept most of the day away yesterday. I think I'm ready to hit the gym and stay busy today.

Qotd: ready to go back to work full time and I ordered a new rug that should be delivered in a week.

Not sure about my menu but here it goes.

hi all i'm back had a travel day tuesday and was playing catch up yesterday.

QOTD: we are going on a cruise next sat. the only scary part is flying the day of. i'm just am praying no delays or cancellations...we are flying super early and the flight is only 1.5 hours so we should be good if delayed. just not ok if cancelled and i have to quickly book us something else.

food will be interesting:

b: i would like egg white french toast but we will see

l: cauliflower stir fry/ will probably get an egg/egg whites and scramble them in

d: either praeger burger or tuna or chicken fingers which are not thawed out

my mom is finally coming to the house for the first time. the barn has always been a work in progress so we have only had 2 guests, my sister and my dad once. we actually have 2 bedrooms for her to choose for once. so all good and we finally got our ginormous barn door /garage door this week! it's 10 x 12 foot and massive. we had to wait 4 months for it.
