Mornin' All!
I'm leaving for Aqua Zumba in a few minutes and will probably bike again this afternoon, since today and tomorrow will be wonderful - 70-ish and sunny - with rain coming in on Wednesday (and the rest of the week...). No other plans.
QOTD: I have a lot of pans, but the only two I use a lot are a wok my sister found online (to replace one I had for years that lost its handle) and a grill pan that I got for my mom several years ago (she didn't use it much, so I "borrowed" it and never returned it).
B: protein oatmeal topped with plain Greek yogurt and cranberry/cherry compote. Coffee with half & half
MS: pumpkin protein shake
L: not sure. Maybe cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with blueberry sauce
AS: protein muffin or cottage cheese with a skinny bagel (and light cream cheese)
D: not sure about this either. Maybe half a vegan "burger" on a slim bun and some kind of vegetable
have a great day, everyone!
Mernin', and happy Monday! Missed y'all, was in class the latter half of last week. It was intense!
QOTD - I have a mix. I love cast iron, but I am fastidious about their care so I am really picky about what I use because I know what I have to do after using them. I use a mix. Some cast iron, some non-stick, some copper bottom/stainless steel. I've inherited some really nice things.
Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - no plans, either salad or walking to local place to get tofu fried rice. It's up in the air
Dinner - kale/fruit smoothie with oat milk, and homemade Buddha bowl.
I hope you all have a great day!

Christine, there is a new post
from a post op looking for guidance to go plant based; I knew you were "out" but you were who I was thinking of that might respond with some thoughts.

Jen
Good morning, everybody!
Jen, I just found out that Dead & Company added two shows at Red Rocks on Tuesday and Wednesday night. And they aren't even sold out yet. We are excited to see the concert at the other facility on Friday, but Red Rocks would have been so great. I guess that they added the two shows in mid-September, long after the regular tickets for the tour were sold. And I wasn't paying attention. Poop!
DD and her friends got a phenomenal set list for their first show: Opened with Man Smart, Women Smarter (DD's roommate gave an agreeing nod, when she heard that lyric), covered Bob Dylan's Queen Jane Approximately, a nearly 20 minute version of Bertha with a psychedelic light show, Brown Eyed Women, Cassidy (DD texted her cousin that she got Cassidy on her first concert and her cousin reminded her that my Brother in law selected Cassidy as her middle name in tribute to that song), Peggy-O (which always reminds me of Cara - "Come stepping down the stairs, combing back your yellow hair"), and Sugaree.
The kids said that they had never been to a concert with an intermission before, but the band started back rocking with Deep Elem Blues which had the hometown crowd up and dancing. Before the concert, DD's boyfriend told her that he didn't like songs with long instrumentals - she said "Uh Oh." The next part of the show tested that with Help Is On The Way into Slipknot. Then Franklin's Tower had everyone back up and dancing again though. This was followed by a long jammy version of The Other One, which put all three of them on their phones.
I warned them ahead of time about Drums and Space, so all of the bathroom breaks and drink refills were taken care of at that segment. They heard what they considered the iconic line of the night from a guy in front of us in the mens room line "I've been peeing during Drums and Space since 1982." I always forget that is 16 years before they were all born. It's actually relatively late in the original band's history which started in 1965.
Drums and Space always ends eventually and they finished up with Cumberland Blues, Sugar Magnolia (probably the only song any of them had ever heard) and Liberty.
The revelation of the night was that the lead singer for Dead & Company was the same person that Taylor Swift wrote "Dear John" about. And DD's roommate said that she didn't think that he was as good looking as she had read.
QOTD: I bet that when you wrote this one, you were thinking that "Jim's going to have some really good insight here". I mostly use the non-stick pans if i can. Or the microwave.
Breakfast: Protein Bar
Lunch: Hello Fresh
Dinner: TBD - maybe fish
Have a great day, all!

I saw John Mayer about 10 years ago. I thought he was better looking than I previously thought - he is a very passionate guitarist/singer. But 10 years and I'm what - 30 years older than your DD and friends?? Makes sense.
