What's on your Monday Menu?
on 10/18/21 2:02 am
Helllllllooooooo everyone! Welcome to Monday! I have a super busy day ahead but I am ready to face it. I had a nice weekend! No big plans, but I got a lot of personal things done that were on my list and I got ahead of some work things too, so I am heading into this week feeling pretty good!
QOTD: What types of pans do you use? Do you like them? I decided a few years ago that I wouldn't use any non-stick pans anymore so now we only use Cuisinart stainless steel pans. I don't cook in them too often (mostly because I usually use the oven and not the stovetop) but when I do I think they cook well, but they are hard to clean.
My GERD is back under control (yay!) and therefore so is my hunger! I try so hard not to take Omeprazole long term, but I always end up back on it.
B: Protein Coffee
S: Costco Egg Bites
L: Black Bean & Chicken bowl
S: Ham & Cheese slice roll up
D: Homemade Fish Taco
Today is my Friday, so looking forward to my "weekend". I have nothing planned but working on a art piece for a family member. Humidity has finally dropped a bit, so I won't need scuba gear to take a walk.
QOTD. I use my very old and seasoned cast iron skillets and some anoized aluminum pots.
Menu yogurt, cottage cheese, strawberries, and Dinner don't know. I am so not good with planning, although there is plenty in the larder and fridge to fix. Food still doesn't appeal to me at this point. I never thought I would feel this way.

I lived in Miami for two years, People talked about the dry season but I never experienced it, so your scuba comment cracked me up

Good mornin everyone. Hope y'all had a good weekend.
I've been up since 12:39ish. Woke up with terrible ringing in my ears and a pounding headache. Took some Tylenol and it has eased up a bit.
Not much planned for the day that I know of. I need to make some calls to doctors offices. I think the site where they injected the contrast for the myelogram is not doing so well. It is hurting and the slightest brush against anything it hurts even more.
QOTD: I use a mix. Stainless steel for pots and for pans it's either ceramic coated or nonstick for most things.
B: oatmeal, espresso chocolate chips and coffee
L: ???
D: BBQ chicken and Thai style cauliflower veggies
S: protein bar and ???

hi all weekend was good didn't leave house yesterday and worked on my 'other job'- our business. Got a good bit accomplished though and saturday got groceries. it is apple season here so the weekend festivals are crazy which makes the town insane and hard to drive around in. so i didn't do as much saturday as i planned.
I made swerve choc chip cookies out of the package mix and ate too many which led to stomach noise and terrible gas. so they all went in the garbage this morning.
QOTD:
I have 4 types:
the skillet i got at sams a lacarte for $14? its awesome- i do all the veggies and stir fry and basic stuff in that, its nonstick
the second small set are more sauce pans from ikea. I've had them a while. they are nonstick
the 3rd ones are revere copper bottom ones from 1960-1970. i do really like them but require work to polish the bottom to make them app pretty
the 4th ones are cast iron and remain in the oven most of the time 'seasoning' i actually don't use them that often.
other than that- i use a plug in skillet from kohls a good bit. its the larger red dash one and does eggs, french toast etc pretty quick.
food today:
coffee, water, coffee
b: cheezy eggs
S: ?
l: tuna?
s:
d: sloppy joe and will make but may not eat the stir fry with cauli rice and shiritaki noodles
