Hey gang! It's almost the weekend already! This has been a fantastic week. I came into the week fully rested and then I've had a really normal week so far. I had time to prepare for meetings today and I even made pretty power points instead of running into rooms 10 minutes late without an agenda, or even knowing what the meeting is about, lol.

QOTD: Do you like bananas? I am so particular about the ripeness of them that I won't even buy them anymore. I only like them if they have just moved from green to yellow within about an hour and are very firm. I will cook with ripe banana but I won't eat it.

Food choices continued to be a struggle yesterday. I had a good plan but I didn't follow it because I was given an opportunity to have lunch out where I made "questionable" choices. Then my sweetie offered to make me dinner and I was powerless to say no. Gah, what is wrong with me??

B: Protein Coffee

S: Costco Egg Bites

L: Chicken & Roasted Veggies

S: Apple & Volpi Roltini

D: Trader Joe's Chicken Enchilada

So glad your week has been good.

QOTD: I do eat bananas a few times a month and like you they have to be a certain firmness. Of course chocolate covered bananas are really tasty.

Not sure what will be for foods I have to cover the scale house and that turns into a long day.

Yay, it's Jr Friday!!! The end of the week is in sight!

QOTD - yes, bananas have always been my favorite; I just don't eat them very much anymore. A tortilla with PB and a chopped banana, microwaved for 60 seconds used to be my favorite "eat on the way to work" breakfast.

menu today is

coffee plus half and half X 3

PB toast (I bought a loaf of cranberry pistachio bread at Kneaders yesterday so will be using that for the toast part)

leftover pizza casserole (which is really just cheese with a few slices of pepperoni)

dinner will be pizza casserole X 2 or a bratwurst

Have a great day everyone!

Hi all

well i'm up the 3 pounds i gained on the last cruise and plus another 1.5... so need to reign it in and also get more regular because that has not been good either. my meetings aren't until 1 which is nice on one hand but also i think they are zoom and I will probably at some point need to put on proper clothing and brush my hair and put on makeup.

qotd: very picky on bananas. ripe in bread is ok.. otherwise i like the point they just turn yellow with no spots... so they still are not soft. i do not like decaying bananas....

food for today:

b: chicken sausage and cheese?

s:

l: leftover cauli stir fry from last night with some sort of meat. I did defrost some cooked pork chops so i could put some of that in.

s:

d: unsure maybe a praeger burger patty or tuna fish. thinking i should eat those hard boiled eggs first.

Good morning, everybody!

Quick post on my way to the airport. We had a good time at the pizza event last night. It was nice to see co-workers after 19 months or so. several people were hired during the pandemic, so I had never met them in person.

QOTD: I don't feel strongly about bananas one way or the other, I guess. Nectarines are my favorite fruit.

Meals are a little bit up in the air because I am traveling today.

Have a great day, all!

You guys, I just had a serious epiphony about my hunger! It's acid reflux, again...

I was on my way to work and I swallowed wrong, and while I was coughing, all of a sudden I realized that I was basically choking on acid.

So often when I get that gnawing, unfulfilled hunger like I have had for the last few days, it turns out to be reflux... but I am so bad about remembering that it could be the culprit.

Anyway, I just downed half a bottle of Tums, haha, and tonight I will start back on the Omeprazole routine.
