What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Good morning! JB-I'm do glad you got in some relaxation. I had a good meeting with my boss yesterday. It was kind of a 1 year review- my anniversary was last week (a year already!). There are some potential growth opportunities that I'm intrigued by and glad to know my performance is in line with their needs.

Good morning, and yes, happy Taco Tuesday!
QOTD - Oooh this is a hard one! I can't say one specific product, but...maybe a way of life? Eating more plant-based products, and cutting out meat! It's really helped with my inflammation and changed my life. I will leave it at that because I know as WLS patients, we are pushed towards high protein. But you can get protein from plants I promise!
Breakfast - coffee
Lunch - supposed to be my BDAY lunch (Sunday was my bday) with coworkers, but we are instructed to work from home until 10AM pending further notice due to an internet outage at work. We shall see. I hope we go in, because Ming's is calling my name! (fried tofu buns!!)
Dinner - homemade Buddha bowls with fried tofu (homemade) quinoa, avocado, all the works.
I hope you all have a great day!

Let it begin with me.

Where can I get more information about this helping with inflammation? I have a friend who this may help. Can someone lose weight eating like this?
Absolutely. I have a dear friend who has Hashimotos, and she went vegan completely. (Not a WLS patient). I aspire to be vegan, I still eat cheese occasionally. That being said, she is in remission and it's due to her complete dietary lifestyle change.
She is also down 80lbs. It wasn't overnight, it took her a couple of years, but she has been absolutely dedicated to making a change for her health and her long-term quality of life. She also didn't go vegan immediately, she started substituting very slowly, plant-based products for animal products. She along with my sister (who has been vegan for years) inspired me to make changes of my own. Trust me, if I can make those changes, ANYONE can!
When I was about to hit 45 in 2019, something clicked. I started really considering how I felt. My joints hurt badly, I was 60lbs heavier than I am now. I hated that we had a two-story home. So, for me, I started the plant-based journey, stopped drinking completely, and also began intermittent fasting. It all tied in together for me. Because yes, why not make three radical changes at once??
Google is a plethora of information! I do like the Game Changers documentary on Netflix, have to take it with a grain of salt for sure. It has some very good information without being graphic. I don't do graphic animal suffering, a la PETA. I've already seen all I need to see in that aspect. Also, if you research a plant-based anti-inflammation diet, along with autophagy, intermittent fasting, the science behind it will blow your mind. That's why I continue to IF. Not for weight loss, for autophagy. It's a way of self-healing for the body if you will.

Good morning, everybody!
Great game, JB. If Stacy is around, I would love to hear about that Giants/Dodgers series. It's a tough draw that a 106 win team has to play a 107 win team in the first round.
QOTD: Rogue Fitness. Excellent quality and made in Ohio.
Without further ado:
We sat outside at the Bay Laurel table. The ladies wore dresses and the men wore coats, but took them off when we sat down. The weather was perfect after two days of fears that it would be scorching. They played soft rock on the speakers (California tint: Beach Boys, Eagles, etc.) at a conversational level.
I told Lisa that I would share my bar bill, but that is for her eyes only
