Had a great weekend in San Diego visiting DS. He was great to be around; as in smiled when he saw us, hugged back, gave us a tour of the campus and his favorite places, kept his side of the conversation and agreed to go to dinner with us. Wow! I guess San Diego agrees with him. We also met his gf; nice and sweet girl, we approve.

QOTD: yup, I'm still taking the bariatric multi and the bariatric calcium. Too lazy to compensate for them with various pills. I'm set the way they are. Two multis s day and two 500 gr calcium a day.

My meals yesterday

• B: coffee + barebells bar
• L: chickpea salad
• S: TJ pumpkin spice espresso beans (the plan was to just have a few, but my hand and my mouth didn't understand the plan and we ate the whole bag)
• D: skipped
• E: Rest Day

That has to have been good for your heart!

So glad that you got to see both kids these two weeks. Marilyn's Dad is flying home tomorrow and it occurs to me that this was probably the last time we will ever have somebody watch our kids.

Time sure flies and kids grow up too fast.

I was at TJ's yesterday and finally saw the Barebells. Grabbed a couple to try out based on your consumption of them.

Where did he let you take him to dinner? It was a pretty nice weekend to be out and about in San Diego!

I hope you like them. I had DS try them and he said they taste like protein bars. We were at TJ too, the one on campus!!!
The kids (he and his gf) wanted to go to Wonderland Ocean Pub on Mission beach. What a scene! There were vendors on the beach, and a concert going on. The pub was also very crowded and loud. It wouldn't have been my choice of place but they liked it. We stayed at the Catamaran in Pacific Beach.
BTW, I noticed your sun is much brighter than up here where we are. I was telling DS, one can never be blue or down living in SD.

I tried the salty peanut one - really good!

She is very sweet, from OH. When she got accepted at SDSU her parents also moved so now she is a local. They discovered they were both on swim team and water polo teams in high school. More common here in CA than in OH and funny.
