Mornin' All!
Aqua Zumba this morning, then I have to take my mother to a doctor's appt this afternoon - and then she wants to go over her estate documents with me (again...) afterward. She seems to be really fixated on dying lately - although she's about to turn 87, so I guess it's not unusual that she'd start thinking about that (health-wise, she's fine - other than arthritis - but at that age, you never know...). MIL's birthday is Sunday (so yep - both October babies!), so we'll do take-out and get her a cake. It doesn't sound like she wants anyone around other than us, so that's fine. She's doing better - slowly - but at least it's an upward trend.
QOTD: I read all the time, but I'm not a big book reader - and especially not fiction. I joined a state literary awards committee years ago to force myself to read fiction, and I liked it - a lot - but left to my own devices, oddly, I don't read it. We used to have occasional first-year students come into the library and ask for book recommendations for winter or spring break, which was always a bit uncomfortable for me - but then university librarians aren't public librarians - our primary focus is research assistance, not readers' advisory. But not sure a brand new university student would be aware of that. Anyway, I always dreaded that question since it made me look ridiculous. Luckily, we did have a couple of people on staff who were voracious fiction readers, so it was easy enough to refer!

Good mornin everyone. Hope you're all well.
I have to be at the hospital at 10 so a tiny bit over an hour and a half. I am soooooooo thirsty. Ugh. I had to stop drinking clear fluid at 8 but I'm still very dry. Gonna be a long day.
My appointment yesterday went ok. She warned me about the myelogram. That it'd be painful. She just upped the patch strength.
QOTD: I haven't been able to sit still enough to read for more than 20-30 minutes.
food is way way up in the air. I probably won't be able to eat until 4 or so. I'm taking a protein bar with me in case I'm able to do it up there.
My pics are older but they were in my memories so I thought I'd share them hee.
