Happy Fridayyyyyyyy! I am ready for some relaxing this weekend, how about you? Actually tomorrow we are celebrating my dad's 75th birthday with a fun day! We are booked on a big old fashioned train that will be riding through scenic Cape Cod and we'll be having a fancy lunch on the train :) Should be a super fun day with my family. But then I have no plans for Sunday or Monday, so I hope to keep it low-key.

My photo Friday is the thing I made at our woodworking class the other night. We learned to use the software on a CNC machine to engrave a little maker's mark with our initials. What do you think, lol?

My other photos are from my walk on the beach last week. It was a beautiful day!

I loved reading all of your NSVs yesterday! We are a really amazing group, aren't we???

QOTD: I'm looking for good book recommendations (bonus points if it is available on audible because I have a ton of credits!). What have you read lately that you liked? I will recommend Emma in the Night by Wendy Walker. I don't usually like reading fiction, but this really captured my imagination and I thought the mystery was well executed. It was a fun fast read I think most of you would like :)

As suspected, I had no time to eat yesterday but I was not at all hungry so I didn't care. Grim made me GRILLED CHEESE when I got home, which was definitely not on plan but since it was basically all I ate all day, I don't think it was a disaster. Not to tempt you, but damnnnnn that was good.

Today should be a little better for self-care/food because I don't have as many meetings, but I have no plan at all for lunch or dinner. I will scrounge around for lunch, but maybe we'll go out for dinner?!

B: Protein Coffee

S: Costco Egg Bites

L: Apple/Cheese Stick/Almonds

I'm not awake yet, but I can't fall back asleep either. Happy Friday everyone. Sorry I don't have energy to post a photo.

Qotd: I haven't read a book in a long time. My poor eyesight makes it difficult to read. My past self would recommend Dean Koontz, *****minds me of Stephen King but a little easier to read.

B: scrambled egg

S1: string cheese

L: pork, salad

S2: protein shake

S: beef with gravy, mashed potatoes, broccoli

S3: cottage cheese

Audible books are wonderful for peopoe with poor eyesight. I get the audible and the Kindle version and can blow up the type to read it on my Kindle while listening to the audible.

G'morning all!

QJB - very cute woodwork, and the title is very fitting; now that it's engraved in wood it is official.

QOTD: Have you read/listened to any of Robert Galbraith's books? It's the nom de plume of JK Rowling for this detective series. So far there are 5 books and the stories are very engaging. I love the narrator's voice and accent. I'd recommend to start with the first one Cukoo's calling.

My pics are from last weekend and DD's commencement in DC. The first pic is the dinner the night before.

The rest are from the commencement day. So proud of my DD.

My meals yesterday

  • B: coffee
  • L: Costco egg bites
  • S: quest chips & cheese
  • D: toppings of two slices of pizza (cheese, prosciutto, arugula)
  • E: 30 minutes cardio + 50 minutes weight training.

Happy Fi-yay!

You have no idea how much DH had to fight her for this pic. She thought it was lame to throw up her cap.
