What's on your Thursday Menu?
Mornin' All!
well I'm feeling better this morning (as in less stressed), so hopefully this'll "keep" (and it's not a normal state of mind for me, so maybe....). My results will probably be coming back from my COVID test (PCR) sometime this morning. They told me it usually takes 2-3 days, but they've been coming back in about 24 hours lately. So fingers crossed - for both timely and good results. And I'm now looking for hotels and B&B's in Naples for the extra couple of days we'll be there. Spent a ton of time last night looking. I'd like to get this all nailed down ASAP so I can move on from this "project".
not much on tap for today - it'll be rainy so no biking - but I'll head over to the gym at some point to do weights. Plus finish watching a movie for one of my film groups and continuing to look at places to stay in Naples.
QOTD: well, this isn't an NSV observation (because it IS an NSV observation), but my weight seems to be stabilizing at about 2 lbs lighter than it was a few months ago. I attribute this to all the exercise because it sure as heck isn't due to less eating (!). I'm also looking a bit trimmer, I think - moreso than 2 lbs would probably look otherwise. It's the weight training, I'm sure. I've been really working on that the last couple of months. I'd still love to lose 8-10 lbs (I'm currently six lbs "overweight"), but I'm not sure that's possible without really restricting my eating - which I obviously haven't been willing to do. Maybe one of these days...

MS: protein shake

have a great day, everyone!!!
Glad you are feeling better.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
I love the Meme today. I know a few people that could use that quick weight loss routine. I'm also glad you enjoyed your class. Isn't modern technology just so fancy. Last night on Counting Cars they were showing new technology that cuts metals quickly it was amazing.
Jim Please keep the food porn coming. Those dishes looked amazing and healthy.
So today is my Friday so it makes it for a busy day. I have to be up and at the Surgeons office early tomorrow. I need to be there at 8 . I still think I'll have time for my morning run because I have no plans of doing a full morning routine. Just need to shower off, throw on cloths, and grab a coffee. Hopefully the procedures will be quick and painless and I will still be able to exercise on Saturday morning. I'll find out tomorrow.
QOTD: I am going to say winning my age division of the 5K's I have participated in. Who Knew?

I saw that program this week and read the screen wrong. I thought it said Counting Cats. It was interesting anyway. The episode I watched had a buyer who needed taillights from the 1950's. They cost $1000.
But an exact replica could be made on a 3-D printer for $100. The person still went with the $1000 for the originals, but 3-D printers are amazing devices.

G'morning all!
QJB - so happy to hear the work situation is finally becoming more manageable
The weekend is almost upon us. We are going down to San Diego to visit DS. I can never get over how different my kids are. Raised in the same household, same parents, same set of rules and yet they are the opposite extremes. When we went to visit DD in DC she had planned the whole time we were there with activities and meals. When she heard on Sun we were flying out at noon she asked us to change the flight because she had planned to take us for one last brunch before we left. She seemed genuinely happy to see us and spend time with us. DS on the other hand can barely give us the time. We asked him to choose between two weekends when we could come down to visit. He chose this weekend and he told us he can give us half a day, not even committing to dinner. That little...argh! If it wasn't for his dad I would have said I don't even need to come down. So there you have it, boys, at least teenage boys, suck!
QOTD: I was always paranoid when meeting a new group that I would be the biggest one. My NSV last weekend in DC was that I didn't even think about my body. I just enjoyed meeting new people, celebrating DD's accomplishments, and just plain having fun socializing.
My meals yesterday
- B: coffee
- L: Costco chicken bites, cauliflower thins & tons of fresh salsa
- S: protein puffs
- D: TJ shrimp stir fry
- E: 10K jog
Happy jr Fi-yay!
