The last of the human freedoms, to choose one's attitude in any given set of circumstances. (Frankl, 1946)
Good Thursday morning. I have a busy day ahead of me. I was supposed to pick up groceries from Walmart last night, but they have been delayed until today. Not happy, but nothing I can do to change it.
Qotd: what's been making me feel successful is the 4lbs I've lost last week and the 4lbs I lost this week. I've been holding myself accountable, staying motivated, and hitting the gym.
Since I didn't get my groceries I'm going to have to wing it.
B: Cantaloupe, scrambled egg
S1: string cheese
L: turkey wrap, brussel sprouts
S2: cottage cheese
S: gyro, salad
S3: protein shake
I have been reading the new book from Weigh****chers, The Shift. One of their ads has some slogan like "give a shift".
I am only on chapter two, but the author says that the people who lose weight and keep it off are the ones who make changes to their thinking. Obese people need to develop compassion and understanding for themselves.
Give yourself credit for what you do right and kindness and understanding for any slip-ups. No feeling guilty and no punishing yourself for food choices or weight gains. Praise yourself for what you did right. Example: I overate Saturday evening, but I did great for 20 other meals last week.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good Morning! Happy Friday-Eve! JB- I hope the new work plans make things more manageable for you and bring some you some balance.

Mernin' errybody! Today is my Friday, and I couldn't be happier about it. Let my birthday weekend commence!
QOTD - I got out there and did yoga at the park last night. One of my very good friends is a yoga teacher, and I contribute to her patreon monthly. So finally, I made myself go to an in-person (outside) session. I was proud of myself, and I was able to do and hold most of the poses that previously were problematic. I did notice my current yoga pants are loose on me, and that is a HUGE NSV for me. It's time to shop for some new ones. These are large, and to think that I need medium yoga pants blows my mind.
Breakfast - fasting, so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - having lunch with kid's mom, at Ming's! We both love it, I'm having tofu bao and a side salad.
Dinner - Kids tonight, so thinking spaghetti, salad, and I will do Italian sausage on side for whoever wants it.
I hope you all have a great day!
Christina
Let it begin with me.
