That is heartbreaking. Poor Luna. I am glad she has you for her mom.

Mornin everyone.

I've decided after this myelography results happen I'm going to search for a second opinion. I might go to Texas Tech and ask about it. It would be most likely down in Lubbock but I'd be willing to do it for a good surgeon. Time will tell. It's just good to cover my bases. I don't want to be dependent on a pain pump for the rest of my life. I want to live just not get by. Time to get my fighting gloves on. I'm still very depressed but I'm starting to get a bit angrier. Which for me is a good thing.

I have an appointment on the phone here in a few minutes and I might do the X-ray today(the lady who does them was out yesterday). If not today then tomorrow.

QOTD: my mom decorates for Halloween/thanksgiving and goes allllllll out for Christmas. I couldn't begin to describe just how much Christmas stuff is around! My mom is Mrs.Clause. Her favorite is elves. I've had to come to terms with that! Some are super super creepy. Will post pics around Christmas of them! Attached is the photo of part of our yard below our front porch.

B: protein bar, cheese and coffee

L: not sure yet but yogurt will be part of it

D: chicken of some kind and Mexican street corn

S: cottage cheese with no sugar added pineapple tidbits and biltong.

I don't know your whole story about your back issues, was this an injury of some sort? I really hope you can get surgery to fix vs a pain pump. I'd be angry too - I'm glad you use that to motive and advocate for yourself.

I've always had a bad back it seems. But the worst started right after I had my revision. In 2018 I do believe. I passed out one night while getting up to go to the bathroom...fell right on my butt. I'm pretty sure I broke my tailbone and did some damage. Then last year right after I had a laminectomy...3 weeks after I had a really nasty fall in front of a Sam's. I basically went splat. I think it also aggravated some and maybe even injured my back more. My doctors didn't do an X-ray because my insurance(Medicaid) wouldn't pay for it. So now my current neurosurgeon basically wants to put a band aid on something that needs stitches. Now I can't get MRIs in town because even though my spinal cord stimulator is ok for MRI use there is an issue with the operators not wanting to do it...or some nonsense.

here is a few images from my last CT scan.

Are you able to see an orthopedic surgeon? I would do that before accepting a pain pump.

I am going to ask about that.

I had compressed disks and could not stand up straight, walk without a walker, or sit for more than a few minutes in a wheelchair. The pain was so bad. The orthopedic surgeon said he could fix it with a 15 minute procedure. He put a small incision in my back, pulled the disks apart, and put a type of cement to hold them in place.

I walked out of the hospital an hour later with a band-aid and no pain. It took a few days for the incision to heal up and no pain after that. It was six years ago.
