I think I have an electrolyte imbalance. My AGAP has stayed low for a long while now.

I can't find Gatorade or much else like that here. Any tips?

Gatorade is water, juice, sugar, and salt. There are recipes on the internet to make your own.

My doc recommended adding an occasional serving of coconu****er (plain, unsweetened) to help with electrolytes.

is it a possible side effect of your a1c so as you tackle that it might comE up naturally?

Not sure if it's correlated but it was low even when my A1c was fantastic.

will try and look for some coconu****er once I have the money, thanks!

Melody, look for recipes for REHYDRATION FORMULA.. i use koolaid, salt+no salt. and i use just enough to color the water well.. and take magnesium with it... alternate if low tolerance on magnesium- is to do an epsom salt foot soak.I don't tolerate any artificial sweetners, so sugar is in the coolaid/drink mix.

I have a VERY hard time keeping down plain water . I find cheap flavored seltzer water ( from say Walmart - 50 cents a bottle ) stays down ... diet tonic water and in a pinch ... I just add lemon juice to plain filtered water .

But if I don't drink I get SICK... In a pinch tea works well too as does fat free milk .... (((())))) .
