What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?

A Mormon lady once explained to me her belief. Everyone goes to heaven. Even Hitler. But heaven has different neighborhoods. So all the bad, evil people live in their neighborhood and you will be in a neighborhood with people who lived the same type of life that you lived on earth.

I can understand that rule back when everyone had flash cameras, but now you can take really good pics a cell phone without a flash (although I suppose some people still try to use the flash - thus, the rule ??)

I think it's more the congestion in the chapel itself. You can take pictures everywhere else (with no flash, as you said).

Will you go there when you're in Italy next year (or have you already been)?

we'll just be on the Amalfi coast. For some reason, DH doesn't like to be on vacation for more than a week or 10 days. I personally wanted to spend a week on the coast and then another week up in northern Italy somewhere, but he didn't want to be away from home that long. UGH!!! When we went to Turkey a few years ago, I stayed for three weeks and he went home after ten days. Fortunately, we have friends there, so I stayed with friends after he left. I do know a guy who lives up in Milan (he did a postdoc here several years ago), but I don't know him well enough to stay with him (and his family). So...we only have a week. I think I need to find a new travel companion!!

Since you're changing travel plans, just stay extra time by yourself! I find when I travel by myself, I meet more people plus you can spend all the time you want wherever you want....want to sit on the terrace and watch the sky go by? You can! Want to be at the British museum when it opens and get asked to leave because they are closing? No one there to complain that you read every single thing:-)

Oh QJB, you are NOT a raccoon, but the meme is very cute. I have never owned cats so no idea why they would fight, but like any sibling relationship fights happen and then they will make up.

I have always complained to DH that the water where we live is too cold to go in the ocean. So while I was in Italy I sent him some pictures of the beaches (see below) saying this is the Mediterranean water I'm used to, not the frigid waters of the pacific.

That little rascal, who at the time was in Nicaragua surfing, sent me some pictures of himself riding the waves at the beaches he was at. Do you think he was trying to one up me?

QOTD: a bike or a horse. Hate motorcycles.

Hahahaha! He is such a geek that his surfing helps him from becoming a total nerd! Not that I complain...my mom always told me to marry a nerd, never a cool guy.
