QOTD: I was VERY active 10 years ago, and the site was amazing with lots of regulars and tons of traffic. There were trolls of course, but that is to be expected on the Internet. The overwhelming posters were positive and inspiring and there was a real sense of community. So much so that there were many small meetups among the regulars and I think OH even had an event of some sort yearly. I never really connected with many folks on this site, and my friends list only has 30 members. Of those, only 2 are moderately active (haven't posted in months) anymore, and that is kind of sad.
FOOD: Doing the very low-carb thing in order to get back to my boyish figure for a vacation to ***** Cana planned for mid-November.
B: Scrambled egg and one slice of bacon; coffee with heavy cream
S: N/A
L: Mixed green salad with smoked turkey, colby jack cheese and balsamic dressing
S: N/A
D: Half a low carb chicken quesadilla with sour cream

OH still did their conference in 2019 (and several people did meet in person) but last year was waylaid although before that happened there were plans under way for several people to meet up there too. I think I saw something about they would have it this fall but not sure if that stuck. There have been a number of small or individual meet ups as people have been in the same or near places.

QOTD: maybe 6 years-ish? I've had a couple of meet ups from OH and one of my closest friends is from the board. I also was the winner of the first ever AMAW!!! There was a shirt involved.
A shake
yogurt cheesecake
kevins coconut curried chicken over sautéed celery(reminds me of cashew chicken that way)
maybe a low carb ice cream cone
QOTD- I lurked for quite a while, I don't normally post my menu since it is almost always the same. I come for the support and to find answers from the experienced, I love this place and miss it when I don't at least read. For a while there the depression and anxiety were all I could see, and did not want to share my misery. This is for Jim you have to be a seriously early riser to be a football fan here. It's 3 hours earlier here than west coast time that I've lived in for all of my life. I can see the Ducks at 6AM on Saturday and the Seahawks at 7AM on Sunday. But at least I will get to see them.
As an insomniac adjusting to the time change is a struggle. I've been trying to start at 4-4:30AM, 7-7:30AM for my coworkers and wor****il 12-12:30 with some distractions. I got my car registered yesterday and now have Hawaii Plates which will make it more difficult to find, I lose it in the parking lot all of the time, but the plates gave it away before.
I was so sleepy about 4 that I fell asleep watching TV, finally decided I needed to move and wanted to see the sunset. I got some gorgeous shots and will share tomorrow.
I need to get to work. Have a great day everyone!

Good morning~ I'm happy to hear you have a plan to set boundaries - way to go, JB! I wish you the best in your meeting today. Super long day yesterday, glad that is over. I am looking forward to NFL tonight! I love watching Brady play, even if it is for the Buc's. Rob is so excited he is like a kid at Christmas right now. Football is life to him it's really cute. Tomorrow I have a half day, getting a pedi after work and shopping for the party we are having Sat w/my sibs, spouses, my kiddo and his girlfriend - 10 people. We are having a crab feast, I can't wait. Most everyone is spending the night, so it's like a huge adult slumber party (with their pets as well) - it will be a house full to say the least. Sunday will be a hungover, hair of the dog, bloody brunch, NFL and I assume - lots of cleaning.... I will need a weekend from my weekend! I wanted to take Monday off, but I have interviews all day so no-can-do. Boo.
Time has been my issue lately - I just don't seem to have enough time to do everything I want to do. I haven't been making time to exercise, or finding time? I am choosing to water my new flower/plant garden that we put in last weekend. It is my therapy right now. Sometimes I just don't have the energy to get everything done...but I have been sleeping better so that is great. I'm hoping after this weekend that things will mellow out but I doubt it, there is always something, right? I have amazing memories though.
QOTD - I joined a few months before my surgery in 2016 - lurked for a while and started posting here and there. After surgery I joined the Menu thread and participated until Oct 2019 when I went dark for personal reasons. I came back in May of this year and have no plans to leave - I can't tell you how much I need this thread and how much it has helped me.
