First, capital gains are a ***** My first plan was to buy out my parent's mortgage, but their condo association is in the middle of some drama that I don't want to literally inherit right now. So I am hoping I will find a little tiny cute shack on the water in Maine so I can invest it back into real estate and not lose the money.
As for the back up plan... ugh it's real. Not that I don't trust him 100000% but this is their family home, and if he passed before me, his sister would have me on the sidewalk before he was in the ground. I'm a little nervous about it, tbh. She is not nice.

I'm taking her to the doctors tomorrow. They don't think it's a reaction to supplements/medication. The U. S. Open seems to be cheering her up.

QJB - This is not good. You have options. 1. Start working on yourself and your resolve to not allow this to mess with your peace. It's a job, career, but ultimately you can control how you allow yourself to react to these external forces. Leave it at the door when you leave. Build a shell. It sucks but it can be done. 2. Continue your search for a different job. LinkedIn, networking, and hold your head up like the bad ass you are. In the meantime, learn as much as you can in this role.
QOTD - Last night. We went to dinner with Clint's dad and the kids for dinner.
Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - Hoping Mings - local Asian place, (buns with fried tofu!!)
Dinner - no clue, but I made some amazing vegan farro soup, and I have some frozen mixed veggies that would go great.
I hope you all have a great day!

Let it begin with me.

Good morning! Work looks like a busy day today, and I have an appointment at 3 to see if I am a good candidate for Lasik, so I hope the day flies by. I had a great lunch with my girlfriend in care yesterday and got her to eat a good amount of good food. She was so happy. For breakfast, they had served her a pancake and a "pile of ground meat that they thought was hamburger"...I just can't imagine.
QoTD: I went to a beautiful outdoor wedding in May. I ordered a velvet jumpsuit online. SO out of my comfort zone, but it worked out really well and I got a lot of compliments. Felt great and fun. I understand you guys who say "I don't even know what to buy". My body is so different than before. Thank goodness for online ordering. I've been taking that opportunity to try different looks in the privacy of my own closet. Boy howdy, some have been total losers!!!
Menu:
B: 1/4 chicken fajitas and 1/4 C cottage cheese
L: roasted chicken leg, veggies and feta
D: 1 or 2 baby back ribs. A bit of corn on the cob. A small spoonful of mashed potatoes. (Clearly this meal wasn't planned around my needs or preferences) A small glass of wine
S: yogurt or beef jerky.
Peace Everyone!
