Today I had a three-hour workout at a gym an hours drive south, followed by a nice sauna and shower, then drive home to work in my garden, can some of it up and build a new compost center.
I am still down 120# and still working to run my first Spartan race this year. 5K run with 20 insane obstacles...like carry 80# Boulder 1/4 mile...if you can't, well... it's 30 burpees for you! Yep, 30 burpees for each of the 20 you miss.
Still very, very happy I had RNY 8 yrs ago. Totally. Worth. It. Oh-I'll be 66 on 9/11!
Okay, so I guess that I Am The Threadkiller....
Things are almost as hectic at 66 as when I was 26....but I am so much smaller, fitter, bolder.
Ran that Spartan and training very VERY hard for the next one in Dec 2022. NINE years out already. Down to 145 from 273, but I am very strong, so a lot of muscle on this girl. I can do so much now that I was afraid to try when I was young. Rock climbing, Spartan races (including a totally unexpected fire jump at the end), box jumps, running....I'm only 66 so I hope to accomplish a lot more in 2022. RNY surgery was the best thing I ever did for myself.
Push yourself, you can do a lot more than you think. And never ever quit.

lol, not a thread killer, since they are daily posts they don't get a ton of interaction after that day.
