What's on your Wednesday menu?

This was kindly shared with me and I couldn't NOT share it too. Such a cute kitty!

Yesterday was pretty awful. Though I knew it was coming a spinal fusion still feels like a sucker punch of sorts. The NP was very honest which I appreciated. I just am afraid I guess. I've only known two people who have had it but it was in their neck. It's a rough surgery with a long recovery time. I'll also need to wear a brace for 3 or so months after. My mission is to lose as much weight as I can until surgery. Not sure when it'll happen but I need to start now.

Lots of pain this mornin.

No big plans for the day. Will most likely go to Sam's to get some stuff and prob Walmart for much needed supplies since I got paid this morning. I'm out of a lot of stuff.

QOTD: We know your favorite season but what is your favorite holiday...big or small?

the big girl in me says Thanksgiving...well...food ya know. But I'd really have to say Christmas time. It makes my mom happy to have her stuff out and I like that about it. Maybe second is New Years...the hope of a new year can be so refreshing.

B: PP shake and coffee

S: L&F yogurt

L: PP shake

D: prob going to have squash and some GF crusted sole.

S: sipping soup

These are the shoes my mom got. He favorite dog was named Priscilla and she was a border collie that looked very close to this one.

Good morning, everybody!

I like those puppy shoes. One of my friends, growing up had a border collie. She would herd whichever kid was lingering out of the pack, so if we were going outside to play basketball, she would circle around the group, nipping at whoever was the slowest walker.

My youngest takes his driving test this afternoon. He takes it through driver's ed, so even if he passes, it will still require a physical trip to the motor vehicle registry in order to get the license. I went to get my Real ID shortly before COVID, and the line took close to 4 hours.

But the registry part is just ministerial, the big thing is passing the road test today. Fingers crossed. It would be a big relief for him to pass it.

Also, our French Laundry reservation attempt is at 12 CST today.

QOTD: I love the entire Christmas holiday break: work closed, kids home, football games every day.

Breakfast: protein bar

lunch: steak

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all!

I missed the whole French Laundry discussion yesterday. I did a couple of big events there when it opened up. I also have a French Laundry cookbook signed by the chef that I have never opened up. It was part of the gift basket we were giving to the board members' spouses during that retreat and I ended up with one. I'm told it might be valuable some day so I'm holding onto it.

Our Priscilla herded like nobodies business. The cats didn't approve!

Send luck to the youngest. Hope he has a successful test. I failed my first time out. I think it was nerves. Hope he gets it done in 1 try. Good luck with the reservations. I love a great restaurant splurge.
