What's on your (last) Monday (in August) menu?

Morning ~ Woke up with a migraine this morning and just now can open my eyes and focus without too much strain and pain. I have nausea, but that's not unusual so I'm home today. What a weekend. I got fitted for running shoes and ended up getting HOKA Clifton - I have been winging it for too long - these are amazing! No pound, can't even feel them they are so light and shock absorbing. Much nicer looking in person - colorful!
I didn't have a chance to break them in because I got the worst sun burn on my thighs - just the front thighs and I could barely move without feeling the pain, so jiggling thighs while running were not happening. Still had a fabulous time hanging with my sister in the pool - sunburn and all. Traveled to SoCal Saturday for Rob's uncles memorial - 115 degrees and 10 hours in a car was not fun, but I'm really glad we went. I love his family. Sunday, my son brought his girlfriend home to meet us - she is darling!! She said thank you for doing such a good job with him - I melted. She is dorky like us and fit right in. LOVE HER!
QOTD - If I like it and it speaks to me that is all I need. I gravitate towards peaceful calming scenes and colors but I surprise myself sometimes with bold things that strike me.
Food today is whatever sounds good - chicken broth and saltines really. And diet 7-up.
Have a good day everyone!

Sorry about the migraine. I used to get them a lot, not so much now.
I want more feedback about your hokas. By the time I come back I will have reached the 400 mile mark and need to change the shoes. So let me know how you like them after a couple of runs.
So nice that the gf fits in with your family.

I swear by my Hoka's. If your first Run isn't what you hoped for, give it another try. My 2nd run was way better. I am ready for a new pair myself. Waiting to find an Orange pair.
That's fantastic your getting along with your sons GF.

Good morning!
Very lazy day ahead for me. Reading, puttering around the house and a pedi at 3. All I have to get in are my squats. I've been faithful everyday of August, but blew it and forgot on Saturday. I was so dang mad. Got them done yesterday, will today and tomorrow and then decide to continue. I truly do not like to exercise. I wish I did. But I do believe I see a difference in muscle tone quality in my legs, so that might encourage me to continue.
QoTD: a quick look around my house would make it seem we are not into art at all. I have only one piece of "art" up, one world map that we mark with places we've been, planning to go and on the wish list, and then a couple family photos. Pretty boring stuff.
Menu: After my big blow out on Saturday, I am really paying attention and pre planning for the week, so the options are lined up!
B: meatball and edamame noodles
L: chicken leg, chicharrons
D: pork chop, avo, red onion, haloumi
S: jerky or yogurt if needed
Peace everyone!

I always only exercised because I knew I had to. It's only since surgery that I have become one of those people that has to exercise daily or I get down/get stressed/etc.
