This meme is me, not just on Mondays to be fair.

QJB mentioned she's got a busy few weeks so I thought I would start the thread.

Had a great weekend with a good concert on Friday, lots of working out on Saturday and an outdoor art festival yesterday plus the usual weekend errands. Busy week ahead for me and then a long weekend!

QOTD - what is your favorite type of wall art? I realized at the art festival that I'm really don't love the mixed media work where it's painting plus some type of 3-d aspect. Some great work in that space but not for me for home. I really loved the moody landscapes and the metal prints I saw.

menu today is

bulletproof coffee

GF English muffin with PB

Jalapeno buffalo sausage

I have a haircut this afternoon, my flu shot too but will be trying to get in a quick workout on the rower to knock down some of the soreness. I'm always more sore the day after the day after, lol.

Have a great day and week everyone!

hi all- was just reading Friday's posts since i missed all the replies. We are leaving SAT as long as we both get negative test results!!! yay so so excited. I shopped a bit on saturday, donated a trunk load of stuff, then only walked out with 2 small bags, so that is good. sunday i ran to walmart for some groceries to get us through the week.

QOTD: i gravitate to strange prints of people or objects that are super bright and mod.

We do also have a huge wall in our house of all oil landscape paintings so that would be #2.

food today:

coffee , water, coffee

eggs/low carb wrap

crack chicken

dinner will either be more crack chicken or salmon

Mornin'!

thanks for starting us out - and given that you're on MDT, you must have been up super early!

luckily, this is a not-so-busy week for me, so hopefully I'll be able to get around to some things that I've been putting off. Today I have Mah Jongg at 10:00, and a 1:00 pm appt with my financial advisor and....that's it! Weekend was good, and eating was mostly back on track - yay!! I went to a friend's pool yesterday (with her, of course). I always try to avoid the sun, so I used 100 SPF sun block and still managed to get burned to a crisp in some areas - like on my back and the tops of my legs. Pretty clear which areas I missed. She invited me to go to the pool with her again tomorrow, so I may try to track down one of those sun protective shirts - plus make sure all of my burned areas are covered with sun block this time - PLUS find a seat in the shade. Other than that, it was really great hanging out at the pool. I haven't been to a pool like that in years - the last few years, it's only the one at my gym, which is not a "hanging out" pool (it's indoor - and I only do laps and water aerobics there).

They'll be discussing discharging my MIL today. She's doing much better and she's definitely ready to be moved off the trauma floor, but they may send her to some subacute unit or rehab instead of releasing her to go home. Probably for the better. We've been anticipating we'll need to stop by every day - at least for awhile - to do her cat and anything else that needs to be done (like grocery shopping and general helping out), but I think at this point she may need more than that - maybe someone with her for a few hours a day. So something like rehab for another week or two might be in order. But we'll see what they say.

QOTD: I tend to go for abstract, very colorful art. My favorite period is early to mid-20th century.

B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with blueberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe blended with kale and ice

L: either pulled pork or a sandwich with miso/chickpea spread with tomato & cucumber slices. Cole slaw made with Asian-style dressing

AS: yogurt with raspberries

D: leftover pulled pork or Indian curry

ex: some kind of cardio - either biking or a walk/dance video (maybe biking - it's supposed to be a great week for it weather-wise!)

have a great day, everyone!

Lol, I actually slept in an hour longer than usual!

I am the champion of sun avoidance - I wear a long sleeve rash guard and swim capris ans put the 100 under all the clothes because they shift. Good luck, I've found some good reasonably priced sun shirts on Amazon (although you don't have time for delivery) ans dicks sporting goods.

we have a Dick's in town, so I've actually been thinking about stopping by there! Plus they may be on sale since it's the end of the season - if so, win! Good idea to slather on 100 SPF lotion everywhere - even under clothes!

I sunscreen everyday BEFORE I get dressed. That way I've got no bra straps or waistlines in the way. And I love the spray on sunscreen that has the handle on it. It's blue. By Neutrogena, I think. Makes it easy to spray down your own back. And I am a huge fan of Supergoop for my face. Be sure to get the "Unseen" sunscreen style. Goes on like a gel, turns to powdery velvet feeling. Does not run into my eyes!

I'm a big spray sunscreen fan also (except my face). Always keep one in my golf bag, one in my car, one with my fishing stuff.
