I have that card. I bought it a few years ago when I saw it at the Dollar store. Just pinned to my office wall. LOL

Melody I'm so sorry for all the pain you have to deal with. It's like my husband and his back injury. Everyday I don't know how he'll feel until he gets out of bed. Some days are a little better than others. I wish I could give him a hug and take all his pain away. Sending you a hug.

Hi Everyone,

Melody-I am sorry you have been having alot of pain. I recently strained my hip and had alot of pain for a couple of days. I admittedly thought to myself that I would most likely do poorly with chronic pain. I have empathy for your situation and hope that your providers can help you find some relief. I recently added a quote to my signature line that states

"The last of the human freedoms -- to choose one's attitude in any given set of cir****tances, to choose one's own way." (Frankl, 1946)

What inspired me to add this quote was that it was made by a Jewish man who was in a Nazi concentration camp. his dignity had been striped, his family murdered or died due to the harsh conditions, and he saw suffering all around him. He was incidently given the clothes of a poor man who had been sent to the gas chambers, which contained a torn piece of paper with one of the most important hebrew scriptures in its pocket. This event caused this man to change his attitude, to see the hope and good around him despite all of the suffering. Did it change his cir****tances? No, but it allowed him to choose how he would view and think about what was occuring around and to him. Instead of focusing on the bad, find the good in your life by choosing your attitude. I hope this doesn't sound pompous because it is not intended to...

QOTD: I mostly come to the RNY site to post and read. On occaision I will look at the other threads also and read the newsletter that is sent to my email. I also like to look at the recipe section for new ideas. I have joined a facebook support group also but don't like it as well because there are alot of newbies asking the same question over and over.
