ha, I still have no idea what that means but it's awesome to have something to be so excited about! I love when people get to do something they are passionate about.

Good Morning..

I had a rough weekend between being on call (and being called in a lot) I slept funny and I haven't been able to turn my neck to the left or the right since I woke up yesterday. I'm on afternoon shift today and night shift the rest of the week.. I'm a bit nervous about the whole eating on nights.. but it'll be an adventure either way

QOTD: no.. between two jobs + my love of exercise I don't have much free time.

b: fairlife latte + egg, spinach, onion, Turkey bacon , cheddar omelette & 1/2 of a 1/2 of an English muffin with some PB

s: Greek yogurt, raspberries and granola

l: salad topped with a chopped up Turkey burger

S: latte again probably

d: tbd

QOTD- I used to be a volunteer Firefighter, and worked at the Portland Women's Crisis line answering phones and as a sexual assault advocate. I love the firefighting I did it for 11 years. But the crisis line triggered me a lot. It was for my college internship but I kept working there for almost 2 years.

It was a very long weekend. Saturday was packing and sorting and Sunday was another dump run over 1100lbs of stuff. The countdown is really on. Next weekend we will be taking furniture from my house to an apartment and to storage, and moving stuff from one storage to another for my roommate.

My cat has really been freaking out, stuff keeps disappearing and he hasn't been sleeping with me like he usually does. It's going to be a tough transition for him, to an empty apartment- the owner is in a rehab facility. It is someone that my roommate is a caregiver for. I made him promise that he needs to go over at least once a day to feed him is wet food and give him some attention. As soon as I have a permanent home for him I'll have him shipped over.

I still haven't found a place to board my horse, so I haven't talked to the shipping company yet.

Have a great day everyone!

This is really happening. Cats do not like any kind of change. I am glad your friend is going to go and visit him every day. The cat will look forward to and appreciate some attention. Go luck with everything.

G'morning all!

This is my last full week in US before I leave next Wed. Very excited and worried. I keep praying that everybody keeps it together--vaccine wise and delta variant spreading--so that I can leave and come back. No airports shut down please.

Eggfast week 2 didn't bring any change to my weight. I guess that's why it's recommended to do 3-5 days only, to shock your body, otherwise your body gets used to it. I'm going back to regular programming of ADF and hope I can lose this 1 lb before I leave. In my head I know it's not affecting my clothes or how I look and nobody back home would know, but I still want to lose the lb before I leave.

QOTD: I really like the way in America volunteering is encouraged. I was always volunteering in class with my kids at their center (almost like a teacher's aid) at least once a week when they were in elementary. I also loved being the room mom and planning their parties. Once they were in jr high and high school I volunteered in the office and library to sorta keep an eye on them without being seen. I have always volunteered during elections to work at the polls. And this year I worked at a vaccine clini****il the clinic was closed. Haven't done much volunteering since May. I'm sorry I'm gonna miss the CA recall election (not the actual stupid recall but volunteering at the polls) because I won't be here, but I have already voted.

My meals yesterday

  • B: coffee + barebells bar
  • L: chickpea + black beans salad
  • S: ratio coconut yogurt
  • D: curry chicken, skipped the rice.
  • E: Rest Day

Happy start of the week!

My sister and her husband were returning from Ireland last week and were not allowed on the plane because their negative COVID test results came back by text instead of email. They had to wait an extra day for the emails to be sent.

We ended up canceling our September Europe trip. We were just touring, so it was an easier decision.
