What's on your Monday Menu?
hi all
weekend was good. finally got the car situation worked out so i think we are * done. The kia we changed out for a nissan rouge on saturday and this one will stick i believe. its a pretty white with black interior and heated seats yippie. yesterday we were supposed to take minnie to her last dog training but instead we decided that WE had enough training and graduated her ourselves. we did pickup grocery order at kroger , got a starbucks and got to walk in publix which i really like. its so nice there.
QOTD: no i can't say that I've been dong that- I'm working then working our online business and taking care of 4 dogs. at least its just 1 house now. but that's an idea. maybe i can volunteer at the local thrift store, or we can offer to be a foster mom/dad for a dog.
food was not so hot this weekend, there were peanuts and peanut butter and more carbs involved, so back on it this week. Our cruise is in 1.5 weeks! We booked the shuttle and hotel last night, all that is left is the scheduling of the covid tests for the timeframe right before trip. I'm going to book us two places just in case.
food:
B: coffee/water/more water/egg wrap?
l: fake meat hotdog/cheese
s: ? iced coffee with fairlife?
d: either shaved bbq pork, shaved beef taco, or a stir fry with one of these meats? We wll see might do fried rice for DH? or noodles, just not sure
this week need to eat: fake hotdogs, yogurt, and the two meats mentioned above and i also bought some fake sausage links... DH should be eating less meat so trying these things again for him.
Good Morning! JB- I hope the nausea stays away. I'm off work today so just laying around sipping my coffee and will get my workout out in soon. I don't have much planned for the day off, as designed.

Mernin errybody, Happy Monday!
QOTD - I do. Hubs and I are part of the 501st, (Star Wars costuming group). Since covid ha**** our participation has been limited to online donations and trooping has been way down. With our covid numbers increasing in Bexar county/San Antonio and surrounding areas I don't see that changing any time soon, so I don't know when we will get back into costume. Definitely something we love tho. We get to participate at comic cons, raise money for Make-a-wish foundation, visit kids in hospitals, etc. Love it!
Breakfast- fasting so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - I gotta be honest, it's not looking good. I've started a new medication that is giving me lots of nausea and no appetite. This is moving my "eating window" to afternoon/evening, so I may just skip lunch and have dinner, and a snack
Dinner - Nothing planned, but...thinking maybe a tortilla with vegan cream cheese and avocado to start, then some pasta salad, then a ding dong (because thats my business)
Snack - smoothie to get some micro nutrients in, strawberries and blue berries and maybe some triscuits with hummus
I hope you all have a great day!

I thought you might appreciate this. We found this bag of action figures at the thrift store for 5 bucks. Not in terribly great shape but we thought the kids would have fun. On closer examination they were mostly original Kenner Star Wars figures from the original releases. Not all complete but cool nonetheless. Palpatine was complete and there was a few Ewoks. Yoda was almost all complete but the Wookiee was missing an arm. My brother was super excited when we gave them to him!

The morning after the 2016 election, I vowed to do anything I could to prevent the person who had been elected from destroying my country. Within a few days, I had joined a local group, was making signs, and marching in demonstrations.
We traveled to different protest events. Using hashtag #makeamericasickagain we fought to protect healthcare. We tweeted, texted, called, and made in person visits to legislators. At times we were threatened with arrest. It was a fight but the healthcare survived, thanks to John McCain whose last vote before he passed away saved the program.
During 2018 elections, I worked the polls and prior to elections, I worked to get the vote out. Due to COVID, I did not work the polls or vote in person, but continued to fight as much as possible using phone and internet.
I felt that DJT was only elected because the people who opposed him did not take him seriously enough and did not try to stop him. I was not going to make that mistake again. In November when I saw the long lines of voters waiting at various polls, I knew that there was not going to be another apathy-caused election. People do not wait in line in cold pouring rain for hours if they don't care who wins.
I have not gotten involved in anything new yet. Many of the causes that I would volunteer for would require too much in person contact and I can't risk that now.
