What's on your Tuesday Menu?
Mornin' All!
I hope you get that job, JB. It sounds like you really need a change. That's way too much work for one person - plus that commute - UGH! Hope it all goes well on Thursday.
It's going to be scorching and stormy again today. Great. Guess I'll be staying in. But that's fine - I have to update the Web site for one of my organizations - it's a real PITA, and I've been putting it off for far too long because it's so frustrating. I also need to watch some DVD's I picked up at the library which I'm sure are overdue by now.
QOTD: I only missed a dentist appt, but that's because they were only taking emergency cases during the worst of the pandemic. I go every three months, though, because I have periodontal disease, so luckily they saw me again at the six-month mark.
B: protein smoothie (I'll put cantaloupe in it again today - and of course, the usual kale and ice). Coffee with half & half.
MS: Plain Greek yogurt with 1/2 mango
L: I think the last piece of cheesecake yogurt pie with some kind of fruit compote
AS: probably L&F and maybe an English muffin with light cream cheese
D: saag paneer
have a great day, everyone!
Good Morning! JB- I can't wait to hear how the interview goes. I know you'll be amazing.
I can't believe I'll officially have a high school senior on Thursday! I'm anxious of how the new Covid wave changes the plans for a 100% in person schedule.
QOTD: I too, need to catch up on appts.
TSS: 6 years, 11 months
B: SF latte, Pear, Quaker protein/fiber oatmeal and turkey sausage
L: Canned chicken pouch with spinach and carrots, and a honeycrisp apple
S: Protein puffs, mixed nuts, an apple and yogurt
D: Shredded pork, veggies with cheese sauce, sliced orange/banana, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Greek yogurt with ¼ cup fiber cereal
E: Elliptical and treadmill
V/W: On track
Totals: Cals:1395 Protein:120 Carbs:124 Fat:50
Have a great one!

I cannot wrap my head around your baby being a senior!!!! Impossible.
I heard lot of people guessing we will go back to hybrid or remote, but I actually don't think we will. Remote only worked because everything was shut down, but with most parents working again and educators being vaccinated, I just don't see them stuffing the genie back into the bottle.

I feel 100% confident that you will get the new position and that your current situation will be vastly improved. My brother married a lady from Los Angeles and moved out there with her.
He made it a stipulation that he would not have a long commute to work. He would only buy in a location where he could get to work in five minutes. She grew up in LA and thought nothing of a one hour commute in LA traffic. They spent 30 years in LA and then moved to Texas. In Texas, he also bought a home five minutes from his work.
I was working with a recruiter once who was trying to convince me to take a position that had about 65 minute commute. She told me it would be relaxing to have that long of a break between leaving home and getting to the office and I could use it as unwind time.
She made it sound great, but I ended up taking something with a much shorter commute. I have never had an office more than 20 minutes from my house. I worked in DC for a while and the drive did not really bother me, but finding parking did. I ended up moving to an office with a huge parking lot and rented an apartment right across the highway from where I was working.
My dental appointments are in December and June. The June one was delayed about a month. Other appointments were moved up, but I did not miss any of them.

I?m excited for you JB - really hope you get the job offer !
been out grooming the ( city ) back yard seemingly with nail scissors since dawn . Deadheading soothes me kinda like excess food and constant reading used to . Big day today - library important documents and conversations preparing for an upcoming very serious deadline in a few days .
food - well I managed to keep down a garden grown pepper though I didn?t do so well with my morning vitamins which I puked up.
I can?t quite figure out why it?s much more difficult for me to take my aminos in particular as I get older but it?s a REAL pita . Anyone have the same issue and how?d you solve it ?
the very idea of food is turning me off . Perhaps I?ll try some fat free cottage cheese and bueberrries for breakfast along with more chai milky ginger tea .
Lunch will probably involve some kind of soup - if I do my job well I expect to reward myself with a wine spritzer or ****tail for dinner .
Perhaps chicken n broccoli or or ? boneless rib tips ? really pork loin in sweet sauce and the insides of egg rolls - or spicy mu- shu beef made with very little oil, hoisin sauce and pancakes .... haven?t had that in forever .
exercise - still have a ton of stuff to plant
havent seen any doctors or dentists personally since Covid started - I've been cleaning my own teeth as well as I can with a dental set ( years ago I managed a dental office so I kinda sorta learned to do these things ) and getting my prescriptions renewed over zoom . I need to get a blood draw and analysis though - and that needs to get done here in NY .
Mernin' errybody, happy Taco Tuesday.
QOTD - Umm, I probably have. I'm the worst at appointments. I need to check on those.
Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water
Lunch - Leftover thai basil vegan potstickers (had for dinner last night, super good), strawberries and blueberries, avocado and naan.
Dinner - not sure, nothing planned but something light and easy. I'm tired, work is BUSY!
I hope you all have a great day!
Christina
Let it begin with me.

G'morning all!
JB - very happy and excited for your second interview and yay for being one of the two finalists. I'm sorry your present job is so stressful, not having a good assistant and having to do the job of two people sure doesn't help.
I started my egg fast yesterday and boy I didn't realize how many eggs you go through. I need t go and get at least 2 more dozens.
QOTD: when we were in complete lockdown the first time around, my teeth cleaning got rescheduled s couple of times, but when they figured out how to open with new procedures I was able to do all my annuals. The only annual that I did via zoom instead of in person was with the bariatric coordinator. But they had all of my blood work so it wasn't a big deal.
My meals yesterday (egg fast - day 1)
- B: bullet coffee w/1 egg
- L: 2 hb eggs
- S: egg shake (2 eggs)
- D: egg salad (3 eggs)
- E: 5.5 miles jog
Happy Taco Tue!
