Mernin' happy Friday!

QOTD - oh man, I am such an audiophile this could take a while. I will go with Pearl Jam because I can't decipher a GD thing said in any song and yet I sing along phonetically.

Breakfast - fasting so hot black coffee and water

Lunch - We have an outing and the people here decided on chic fil a. Eww on so many levels. So, I brought my own. Naan with avocado, everything but the bagel seasoning, strawberries, hummus with pretzels, 1/2 pb&j, and a tiny banana.

Dinner - NO idea, but it's friday night and I ain't cooking. I told hubs think of something naughty but vegetarian (for me at least) and he got the deer in headlights look. LOL!

I hope you all have a great day!

Christina

My husband and I have our own versions of Pearl Jam songs, they are hilarious. Have you seen Adam Sandler's mock of Even Flow on SNL? It's awesome!

Happy Fri-Yay, All!

When I was delving into my Rolling Stones rabbit hole yesterday, I was reminded of the odd family life of Bill Wyman. As a general matter, its best not to be the person at work who makes the worst choices in their personal life, but that's even more so when you work alongside Keith Richards.

Wyman, now 85 played bass with Mick and the boys from 1962-1993. In 1984, he met Mandy Smith and immediately fell in love. She was 13.

Perhaps this will merely be a case of a harmless love from afar. Like Dante, with his life-long chaste yearning for the young Beatrice. Inspired to write the Divine Comedy by his love from afar. Could a similar distant longing be what caused Bill to write the achingly beautiful Angie?

Um, no. Keith Richards wrote Angie. And Wyman appears to have taken his literary cues not from Dante, but from Nabakov.

They began a relationship when Smith was 14. Four years later, they married when she turned 18. The marriage did not last. Mandy began developing health problems, which she believes were caused by beginning birth control at age 13. Her weight dropped to 80 pounds, Wyman found her no longer to be fun and she left his house after a few weeks. They were divorced within two years of the marriage. In perhaps the least surprising part of this tale, Ms. Smith went on the become a lobbyist for raising the age of sexual consent in England from 16 to 18.

OK, guys, buckle up. We are about to get to the weird part of this story.

After the divorce, Stephen Wyman went on to marry Patty Smith. Who is Stephen Wyman, you ask? Bill's son from his first marriage. And who is Patty Smith? You guessed it - Mandy's mom.

Live stream of the Wyman family tree:

OK, this is complicated but lets get out the T accounts, and run through the debits and credits.

To Bill Wyman

Mandy - from wife to granddaughter-in law

Patty - From mother in-law to daughter in law

To Stephen Wyman

Patty - Step grandma to wife

Mandy - Step mother to stepdaughter

To Patty Smith

Bill - Step son to step father

Stephen - Grandson in law to husband

To Mandy Smith

Bill husband to step grand father

Stephen - step son to step father

Ok, so today is my last day of work before vacation! I have to get a COVID test this morning for the lodge that we are staying at. This weekend, we have Friday happy hour, packing fo Alaska, gym and more pressure washer drama.

Monday morning we leave for Seattle. We have lunch with Au Contraire on Monday. Hopefully, she has forgiven me for causing her to spit coffee on her white jeans that one time.

We get to Ketchican Monday night, get to the fishing lodge on Tuesday morning, and fish Tuesday through Friday. Saturday is a travel day.

Sunday is Hella Megga Tour. Green Day, Weezer and Fall Out Boy at Wrigley Field. Fall Out Boy had to cancel two shows this week because of COVID, but they are supposed to be back on. My son goes back to college the following Tuesday. Boo.

I probably won't be posting next week. Of course I will be on all day today because its Fri-Yay!

QOTD: I used this recently, but I will go with Possum Kingdom

Breakfast - sausage

Lunch - hamburger

Dinner - Cabernet

Have a great day, all!

I have some goofy marriages in my family, but that story is hilarious. Makes my family seem almost normal.

this story had me right at the beginning. How on earth could he be in love with a 13-year-old? What could they have possibly had in common? Sheesh. Then the story kept getting more and more bizarre. Good Lord.
