I am going to try that cold water on my forearms today. It has been getting down in the 50's here at night and the pool water is pretty cold when I first get in. Will let you know if it helps any.

The pool was still cold when I jumped in, but the cold water on my forearms did seem to help a bit. It was a hot, sunny day and I warmed up quickly after the initial jump into the pool.

Good Morning JB and Menuers,

Love the Meme today. I remember eating Christmas cookies as a child until I threw up. Yikes. Why did no one see I needed an intervention at the age of 5.

OK this is all good news JB and by this afternoon it will all be over. I'm still praying for you.

Yesterday we got a half of a cow delivered. A fellow my husband works with raised it and we bought a half a cow. How did I not know how much meat a half of a cow produced? Oh my it is over 450lbs of meat. What the hell am I going to do with it all? I guess Party at my house, brisket, short ribs and liver on the menu. Yikes!!!!!

QOTD: I swam before I walked. Born in December was swimming in June. My father was a very strong swimmer and diver. We lived in the pool as we grew up and also all of us kids Life guarded as our summer jobs through high school. They also took us on a beach vacation every year. I actually looked like the Coppertone baby. Toe head hair and suntanned. I always talk about the weekend pool, but I really do not swim much any more. It is more like a raft and a draft when I get in the pool now.

Accountability: I grazed dinner do to the fact I was trying to find places to stick 450lbs of beef.

Good morning~ I am hoping you receive good news today, JB! Yesterday was a better day as I was able to get a lot of things done and somewhat clear my desk for new projects that are the priority. The learning curve is real, but I got this. My body is slowly letting go of all the built up stress/tension and physical pain from the move. I'm still sore/stiff but it's a healing sort which is okay by me.

QOTD - I LOVE SWIMMING. I was a fish as a kid, also! I would stay in the water for HOURS. Even as an adult, but fell off swimming for my exercise a bit ago with body issues... Now that I have gained some weigh, I could probably do it without a thought, but I am not 'there' yet. My sister called me yesterday, they just had a pool put in. - I'm looking forward to hanging over there soon. I miss swimming - it was like meditation, therapy and a massage all in one. The post work out fatigue was so relaxing - I would sleep like a baby.

I'm out of whack with my vitamins - I need to set up a new routine at the new house, its a thing!

Hope you get good news from your doctor soon.

In 1963, a group of 300 families formed the Warren Olympic Club corporation and each invested $1000. They bought property and built an Olympic size pool and tennis pavilions. Membership is limited to 300 families and when a new member is admitted, they purchase a share of stock at $1000, then pay $500 a year in membership dues.

We have pavilions, tennis courts, swim teams, tennis teams, and certified lifeguards. It is a family atmosphere with no smoking, alcohol, or drugs permitted.

I have been a member for years. I go to the pool every day possible. Only rain or an urgent appointment will keep me away. I get in between 30 and 60 minutes everyday of swimming and water exercise and an hour of so of laying in the sun with lots of sunscreen.

We stayed open last year, but used tons of chlorine sprays on everything and advised people to only associate with their immediate family members. The guardrails on the steps, chairs, and lounge chairs were sprayed down whenever they were used. It is more relaxed this year.

I live two minutes away from the pool, so change at home and not in the locker room. It is my main exercise in the summer. I have done water aerobics in the winter for most of my life, but afraid to go back due to concerns about COVID.

Hi All, checking in quickly while I can with great news. The doc thinks I had a cyst on my thyroid that burst which caused the insane pain, weird sudden swelling, and accounts for the very high platelet counts (because of internal bleeding from the cyst). It all makes sense. Lots more appointments in my future with the endocrinologist to find out why I have cysts on my thyroid in the first place, and to try to help the symptoms but this was the awesome news I was waiting for :)
