What's on your Thursday Menu?
We used to eat outside all the time. Including putting a pan on the grill for bacon and eggs for breakfast. I had a propane grill and a table outside. One year we grilled the turkey outside for Thanksgiving, but it was too cold to eat out there. We learned never to eat steak outside, though, because it would draw yellow jackets.
Good luck with the VAX-a-million. The first person to win in Ohio was a college student in her early 20's. I have been wishing for years that the IRS would have a Tax-a-million lottery and base the tickets on the amount that you paid in taxes. I think people would be happier to pay their taxes if there was a big drawing on April 15 with lots of million dollar winners.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good Morning! Happy Friday-Eve! I think today should be Friday already but alas here we are. It's been a busy week since I'm trying to clear a few things before we hit payroll again next week. JB- breaking free from allowing someone to take up your headspace is tough but so worth it if you can.
QOTD: We don't much anymore. When Em was little we sat outside on blankets all the time so many dinners were outside.

Good morning, everybody!
Another day of slow computer. We re-started it and ran the updates, but it is still pretty sluggish. Lots of waiting and staring at the multi-color pinwheel rotating.
My son finished his summer job yesterday, so he is home today before he and Marilyn head out to Massachusetts for a long weekend. My youngest will be here in Chicago with me.
We are going to the food court at Mitsuwa Market for dinner. I havent been there, but my son requested.
If Au Contraire is reading today, please check your messages.

G'morning menu fam!
This week is going by too fast. It's already Thursday and DD will go back to DC on Sat. We went SUPing yesterday. DD manages to be graceful in all she does, she has done ballet since she was 3 and you can see it in the way she walks, sits or even stands. Except for last year she has always danced, it's her sport. So I was admiring her on her SUP how gracefully she was maneuvering it when I was knocked over by a wave. I, unlike my daughter, am not graceful and hit the board with my tail bone before falling in the water. Thank god it was the last 5 minutes and we were ready to go back to the beach anyway.
QOTD: we have a nice deck that is perfect for morning coffee. If it's not foggy and wet in the morning it's my favorite place to have coffee. We also use it for lunch just DH & I, on Tue & Thu when he WFH. And now we have a fire pit and space heaters so we can use it at night too. Before COVID most of our parties would take place on this deck too.
My meals yesterday
- B: coffee + monkey bread
- L: Costco chicken skewers (3)
- S: nope
- D: a bowl of left over posole (I can eat posole every day, every meal)
- E: 5 miles jog + SUP
Happy jr Fri-yay!
