Pics of the girls are so cute!
I think might help to describe the paint color as a pale tan with pink tones rather than a pink with brown tones, if that makes sense...?
Yes Grim is the MOST talented woodworker. His speciality is Shaker Oval boxes but he makes all kinds of furniture--our house is filled with absolutely gorgeous handmade custom pieces. Here is a custom sideboard he built me (yes that is a giant pile of bacon and rising sourdough sitting on it!). And here is a set of boxes that he was invited to show at a Museum a few years ago.
Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Be damned that Buffalo Cauliflower. I always have that one thing in the fridge I want to eat but seems I just never get get to it. Today if is shaved steak for Phili cheesesteaks I was supposed to do yesterday but I never got to the store to pick up the portabella mushrooms and I found smoked brisket in the back of the fridge from the 3rd so I thought we should fini**** up before it went bad.
Just in case you don't know this about me I am going to repost because it is Family Picnic time again and I love this about my Dad.
Original post 7-16-20
Did I ever tell you about my dad(God bless his soul) and his theory of why his kids were overweight? Sorry if I did but being family picnic weekend put this in my head and I wanted to let you guys hear this story. This weekend is our family picnic which revolves around food so much I will take off work tomorrow to start cooking for Sunday. This was my dads favorite day of the year. This picnic has been going on for over 100 years and we have never postponed or delayed it. It is always the 3rd Sunday in July and many of my cousins travel every year to participate. This year it will be just the locals small crowd under 100 probably under 50. But were gonna run a zoom for an hour for those who could not make it. So now you know how important food is to this Italian family my dad used to say the only reason you are fat is because you go out to eat at that McDonalds if you just ate at home you would not be over weight. His mother and most of her sisters were well over 300lbs. But in his mind it was Fast food. So when my dad was diagnosed with cancer and he was home by himself because we all still had to work I brought home a Labrador retriever. Something to keep him occupied and it gave him purpose. He started going to a dog park and met many nice people and they would walk at least 4 miles a day. He fed that dog so much crap food even with the amount of exercise the dog got he was still always overweight. So I asked my Dad if Ceaser was sneaking off and going to McDonalds. He was not happy with that question. I'm like he doesn't have hands or money dad. I miss both of them dearly. He was a great cook he forced food on us and I would never be a successful weight loss patient had he still been alive.

Good morning, everybody!
Happy that its Friday! The first week back went pretty well and I feel back in the swing of things. Monday was a struggle, but I felt pretty productive these last three days.
The weekend is pretty much the usual stuff: Happy Hour tonight (we are going to open the Heitz Trailside 2008, since Marilyn had tennis last week), maybe a double dip day at the gym tomorrow because things are going on at both places, a graduation party on Sunday. And I would like to finish the snowblower repair if we can get some respite from the mosquitos.
QOTD: My work has very strict policies on outside employment, so no. Mostly we are focused on our sports.
Breakfast: protein bar
Lunch: Fish cakes
Dinner: Happy Hour
Have a great day, all!

Last night we got out the Coravin because Marilyn was having beer and I was only having 1 or 2 glasses, but then she decided that she wanted wine too. So now we have an empty wine bottle full of Argon gas.
But one of her friends brought over a cheese and salami and salmon plate, so we have leftovers of that.
