hey all- i must have spaced out some of this week haven't been on a few days. but- i have pics from Cali-

I weighed this morning and shocker i was right the same weight as before i left for vacation which was almost 2 weeks ago. I can't think of a time i haven't weighed for that long...i didn't eat like a demon on the trip but there was boba tea, cupcakes, pizza, wine, and a few others i normally do not have

QOTD: yall know the answer to this. DH and I have an online selling business, ebay, poshmark, mercari, etsy, and depop are the main ones. plus i do personal shopping gigs for people when they need a specific item. I'm a good finder :)

food plan:

b: coffee

egg whites/low carb tortilla

l: chicken breast/last of veggies

d: unsure maybe more chicken depends how my day goes

Pics are of a sea dragon at the aquarium

a winery in temecula

seals and lions at la jolla beach

I hope you enjoyed my hometown! I grew up playing where the seals and their pups are, and so did my kids. Now we take the grandkids to be able to watch the seals there. La Jolla is so pretty, and our Temecula wineries are off the charts these days!

Mornin' All!

DH took the day off - he had his mother are going to take a day trip. I'm going to stay home since I'm still behind on classes. Plus it'll be nice having a day of peace and quiet. Nothing planned for the weekend, although a friend suggested we go to some outdoor art show in a neighboring town on Sunday, so I might.

I think the metabolism boost I got after my facelift has ended, so I need to go back to restricting my calories again. I feel really huge this morning, but it may just be water retention. I haven't eaten THAT much over range! I had lunch with a friend yesterday who's a former dietitian (and has kept her license active even though she hasn't practiced in years). She swears by doing a 5/2 intermittent fasting when she's trying to lose weight, and 6/1 when she's trying to maintain (she eats 600 calories on her "no eating" days, and reasonably on the other days). I may try that. I have higher-than-normal protein needs, even for a bariatric patient, so I could always do a ton of protein shakes on my 600-calorie days (and that's a lot of protein shakes...). Hmmm...

QOTD: nothing. DH saw an ad for temporary jobs (I think November-April) for people to review applications for admission to the university for c. 20 hours a week and forwarded it to me, but honestly, I just don't want a job right now, even a part-time, temporary one. Too much going on, and I love having all the flexibility.

B: not hungry so I may just have a protein shake (blended with ice, cantaloupe, and some mint sprigs). Coffee with half & half (having that right now...)

MS: well, I'd planned on yogurt pie for breakfast, but since I don't think I'm going to have that, I may just have plain Greek yogurt with fruit for a snack

L: chickpea-miso spread on 35-calorie Aldi's bread with tomato and cucumber slices (I'm so addicted to this stupid spread - it's sort of the vegan answer to tuna salad- tons of recipes online for it)

AS: not sure - maybe hummus and baby carrots. Or something else that has healthy fats and fiber since those tend to hold me over pretty well

D: the last of one of the Indian dals and roti

a couple of people asked for before/after pics of my facelift. I still have a little bruising (although not much anymore..it's been three weeks) and I'm still in swell hell, but here you go... (P.S. in case you can't tell, I did decide to get the chin implant. I was really afraid of looking too masculine with it, but I don't and I think it looks great!)
