I was supposed to have a showing at 4:45 yesterday but they cancelled. I'm trying not to be discouraged, but I feel like this is dragging oonnnnnn... I still have tons to do, but I haven't done it. Just tired.

i had my 3 month Bariatric f/u yesterday. My provider wants me to get more kcals (usually 600-700 most days). I get it that she doesn't want me to go into starvation mode but now all I think about is food! Kinda a bummer. So I added a few snacks during the day and I am up to 800 kcals but she wants me at 1000 non workout days and 1200 on workout days. Have to admit to being a little calorie phobic since my weight is going down so good.
QOTD: once before surgery. I worked in the ICU through the worst of it, took care of COVID patients and never had a worry or scare

I am not a medical professional but not all nutritionists Are either - my non medical opinion, is that starvation mode is a myth. Definitely listen to your medical team ans you are super early our so still follow their recommendations where it makes sense but unless you are suffering medical side effects or are already at goal, 3 months out is not the time to be worrying about starvation mode. I was 700-800 until I was at goal (just under one year).
I think feeling are mixed here about adjusting calories and macros for work out days, I think some do, some do not.

QOTD: Countless times, I work in a health care facility, but have zero patient contact. It was required at least weekly or whenever I was told to report for testing. It was done on site, but sometimes on my day off. I hated having to drive in to work for a 10 second swab. They were all negative.
Menu. Shake, yogurt, fish. I still have no desire to eat, it's still very strange to me. I am really loving being crave free!
